Job Description
The Apprentice Teacher position provides a unique opportunity for talented individuals with limited or no teaching experience to explore the field of education and to gain hands-on practice and the training necessary to become a successful full-time classroom teacher. Apprentice Teachers will have an opportunity to observe best practices in classroom instruction and education reform from experienced teachers and school leaders at a leading charter management organization in Boston. Apprentice Teachers observe and learn from Master Teachers, co-teach with teacher-leaders, provide in-house substitute teaching coverage for teachers, and support teachers with tutoring, grading, and individual or small group student instruction. Depending on school needs and candidate background, Apprentice Teachers may also teach their own class of students, allowing for direct teaching experience within a more limited teaching load. Apprentice Teachers will also assist with a variety of work inside and outside of the classroom, including teaching Enrichment classes, organizing student events, and developing mentoring relationships with students. Through full participation in summer and school-year professional development, as well as regular meetings with an instructional coach, Apprentice Teachers will have many opportunities to gain the experience and support necessary to develop their teaching skills. By the end of the year, Apprentice Teachers will be very strong candidates for full-time teaching positions.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach classes on behalf of Deans and teacher-leaders who are observing other teachers;
Provide substitute teaching coverage for teachers within the school;
Potentially teach one class or small groups of students;
Periodically plan and deliver instruction, gradually taking on more responsibility throughout the year;
Develop teaching skills to potentially become a full-time teacher at the school;
Support students by providing one-on-one and small group tutoring daily, and small group intervention and student support;
Observe Master Teachers in order to improve instructional techniques and classroom management;
Meet regularly with a coach to implement feedback on lessons and instruction;
Teach or help coordinate an Enrichment class;
Assist teachers with instruction, assessments, grading, and other classroom responsibilities;
As appropriate, perform all duties expected of classroom teachers, including but not limited to:
Implementing curricula and activities to meet academic standards;
Designing and implementing assessments that measure progress towards academic standards;
Using assessment data to refine curriculum and inform instructional practices;
Participating in collaborative curriculum development, grade-level activities, and school-wide functions, events, and trips;
Providing consistent rewards and/or consequences for student behavior;
Serving as an advisor to a small group of students;
Helping to co-lead advisory/homeroom in the morning and afternoon;
Supervising students during transitions, breakfast, lunch and afterschool;
Being accountable for students' mastery of academic standards;
Communicating effectively with students, families, and colleagues;
Participating in an annual three-week staff orientation and training.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree is required. A background in education is not required, though candidates should show a demonstrated passion for working with K-12 students.

Compensation
Compensation for this role is between $47,000 - $48,000.
Starting pay is determined using various factors including but not limited to relevant full-time teaching experience, education certifications, and tenure with Uncommon Schools. Candidates without full-time Teaching experience will likely have a starting salary of $47,000.

The Maintenance Electrician will work on C Shift (Th, Fri, Sat and every other Wednesday 6am to 6pm) and will play a key role in performing preventative maintenance. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting PLC Controlled Equipment. Knowledge of AC Motor Controls, DC Motors and Controls, Variable Frequency Drives, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Controls from wiring diagrams and schematic drawings
Work on your own and be as professional as possible completing work in a timely fashion while being thorough enough to complete work orders and maintenance log books
Perform all duties while maintaining high quality with every day thoughts for Environment, Health and safety

We are seeking an experienced lineman/electrician to join the QE MV Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for construction, maintenance, and repair of MV distribution equipment including but not limited to MV/LV switchgear, cable, transformers, overhead switches, meter clusters, reclosers, and protection and control systems, including SEL devices. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise and background in solar/BESS interconnection and associated overhead and underground equipment. This role includes significant travel across the northeast with occasional national travel.
Essential Duties
· Perform installation, repair, and maintenance of medium voltage interconnection systems
· Assist as needed with functional testing and various troubleshooting tasks
· Ensure that all equipment is installed and commissioned in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and industry standards
· Troubleshoot and repair any issues that arise during commissioning
· Maintain accurate records of progress, repairs, and maintenance activities in the field
· Provide technical support to other field personnel during installation and commissioning

in the greater Boston area. It will be 70% New construction and remodeling of single family
homes . 30% tenant fit outs in commercial space
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Completing Jobs within schedule and budget
Laying out the job and assigning duties
Meet with Project managers to discuss job progress
Report and work to rectify any trade conflicts with the Plans
Knowing the contract and submitting change orders
Scheduling and Standing Inspections
MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ordering stock and keeping job stocked
Be able to train / teach 1 helper
Completing project paperwork as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Education:
MA Electrical Journeyman License
2023 15 hour Code update completed
Experience:
Have been working in the trades for minimum 7 years
Other:
Have a clean drivers license
KEY COMPETENCIES
Ability to read blueprints.
Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
Good knowledge and understanding of the NEC
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Be able to work on team

Position Summary
The Electrical Foreman oversees field electrical employees (Licensed & Apprentices), ensuring that all work meets safety standards, project specifications, and company quality expectations. This position is responsible for coordinating and supervising electricians and apprentices on-site, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring materials and manpower are effectively managed so the project is successful.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and lead crews of electricians and apprentices on commercial, industrial, or residential projects.
Plan, layout, and coordinate electrical installations based on blueprints, drawings, and specifications, and profecting with Blue Beam
Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), local regulations, and company safety policies.
Communicate effectively with project managers, general contractors, and inspectors to coordinate work.
Schedule and assign tasks to ensure project deadlines and milestones are met.
Perform quality checks and inspections to verify that installations meet required standards.
Ensures Company Safety Standards are adhered to on-the-job sites.
Order, track, and manage tools, materials, daily jobsite pictures, and equipment for assigned jobs.
Mentor apprentices and junior electricians to promote skill development and adherence to best practices.
Maintain accurate daily job reports, time logs, and material usage documentation.
Identify and resolve on-site issues quickly to minimize project delays.
Follows company policies and procedures, ensures assigned employees comply as well.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; Minimum 58 years of electrical experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
Valid journeyman or master electrician license. Must be licensed in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island
