Responsibilities:
Operate the Loader and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
Understand and follow directions from supervisors as to required work area.
Operate Loader controls to lower and tilt bucket and drive forward to force bucket into bulk material.
Move lever to raise and tilt bucket when filled, or to dump material.
Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance.
Operate Loader on public or private roadways, maintaining proper awareness of one's surroundings.
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the Loader.
Operate other heavy equipment and other construction related duties as required.
Must ensure a solid understanding of, and comply with the principles of the company's safety program.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
1 recent years' experience working as heavy equipment experience
1 year+ operating a loader
Active Driver license.
Must have a safety first attitude. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures is required
Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.

Assist with reviewing Labor and Equipment reports with field personnel related to budget.

Requirements

* Direct reports include Project Engineer, Office Manager, QC, and Safety.
* Prepares project status reports and works to ensure work adheres to contract specifications.
* Communicate district and corporate information to the project team as well as keeping OM/GM updated.
* Directs and supervises work of project administration, project superintendents, and engineers to establish operation priorities and maintain satisfactory relationships.
* Establish/Define/Promote values, expectations, and performance standards for team and individual members in accordance with JDC's mission, vision, and values.
* Create and execute project work plans.
* Responsible for the overall management of the project to ensure complete solution is delivered on time and within budget.
* Assist the Operations Manager and Project needs.
* Manage costs and program documentation.
* Effectively oversee subcontract management
* Coach and develop staff.
* Implement and monitor Safety and Hazard communication programs.
* Monitor Quality Control and work in tandem with Site Superintendent
* Carry out job duties while maintaining JDC values.
* And other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management.
* MUST have Heavy/Highway experience project management experience.
* Minimum 5-8 years of project experience in heavy/highway construction.
* Familiar with grading, drainage, paving (asphalt and concrete), bridge construction, retaining walls, and all other highway construction scopes.
* Creativity and innovation are a must.
* Must have excellent team building skills.
* Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word.
* Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail oriented
