We are seeking a dependable and skilled Facilities Technician 3 to support the day-to-day operation and maintenance of facility infrastructure and critical equipment within our semiconductor facility. This is a hands-on role responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting building systems, and ensuring reliable operations across HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

What You'll Do
Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on facility systems including HVAC, boilers, pumps, air compressors, plumbing, and exhaust systems.
Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot the Building Management System (BMS) for alarms, trends, and performance; escalate issues as needed.
Support field troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems across manufacturing, cleanroom, and office areas.
Assist in the operation and maintenance of facility utilities such as DI water, process gases, chilled/hot water systems, and compressed air.
Perform equipment startups and shutdowns, replace filters, lubricate moving parts, and calibrate meters or sensors as required.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Follow all site safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), use of PPE, and confined space entry requirements.

What You Bring

Under close supervision, perform a wide range of machining operations using lathes, drills, saws, and grinders to complete casting parts following standards methods and procedures.
* Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
* Read and accurately follow technique card instructions, which describe numerous unique steps of a complex nature; plan the methods for completing a given assignment.

**Description**
This role focuses on all research, development & engineering aspects of within Applied Materials Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) Service Business Unit (SBU) supporting Applied Materials' customer install base in the semi-conductor industry. This person will engage cross-functionally to drive product vitality including all new service product development and continuous improvement aspects of the business working to exceed customer and business expectations. Executes segment/functional business plans and contributes to the development of segment/functional strategy.
**Responsibilities**
+ Responsible for program management of Research, Development and Engineering aspects of the ALD SBU including new service product development performance.
+ Participate in developing service product roadmaps and managing product portfolios/investments.
+ Leads customer application understanding and development to facilitate new product introduction.
+ Accountable for the on-time delivery, cost and quality of new products and technologies to support customer, operating plan and growth commitments of the ALD SBU.
+ Leads development and execution of project management (PMP), product lifecycle processes (PLC), continuous improvement programs, ECO etc.
+ Supports quality, productivity and sustaining engineering initiatives partnering with customers and operations.
+ Manages technology partners and supports new product related strategic sourcing needs partnering with strategic sourcing/supply chain.
+ Leads sampling field quality processes working closely with field commercial resources Builds strong teams and cross-functional engagement across multiple geographies & external partners including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Legal etc. Communicates RD&E progress /execution to senior executives and stakeholders.
**Desired Skills, Competencies & Experience**
+ Higher Science/Engineering related degree (Materials, Mechanical, Chemical, Physics, Electrical, or related field). MS or PhD preferred, with 3+ years of relevant experience.
+ Materials, deposition, plasma, systems experience and domain expertise, including physical vapor depiction (PVD), chemical vapor deposition (CVD), and atomic layer deposition (ALD)
+ Semiconductor applications and services experience desired
+ New product introduction experience with a performance-based track record
+ Strong program management and product lifecycle management experience
+ Customer focused - Voice of Customer (VOC) domain expertise and strong customer acumen
+ Positive can-do hands-on entrepreneurial attitude that builds support for RD&E needs
+ Strong communication skills and interpersonal presence that extends confidence and humility

Job Description
GENERAL PURPOSE
Under general supervision, marks parts and performs pre-packing functions on castings to assure conformance of casting to customer requirements following established safety and operating procedures in accordance with quality standards. Ensures that documentation, tooling and parts are correctly matched to paperwork.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Inspector Visual (FID)
Objective: To set up and perform marking, pre-packing, and packing functions on castings conforming to visual and dimensional specifications on technique cards.
Essential Job Functions:
* Follow established housekeeping and safety practices to maintain the quality of the work.
* Demonstrate ability to log on main computer system, extract information, log time, enter inventory amount and forward to next operation.
* Programs, designs tooling, and performs set-ups of pin marking equipment, and offers instruction to lesser skilled people.
* Transports castings into and out of FID, responsibility for verification of proper paper work for the area.
* Understands the Divisional Quality Policy, identify the location of the QCP'S, Quality System Manual, and OPC's and display a willingness and interest to learn through on the job training.
* Identifies, marks castings, and inventories area stamps as required by specification, instructions, and/or tech cards.
* Counts parts to ensure proper number of castings are sent to customer.
* Completes all necessary paperwork and records as required and verifies correct procedures of those lesser skilled.
* Offers procedural improvements to Supervisor and assists other personnel as may be required.
* Responsible for calibration of all equipment in area (maintains appropriate records), and any discrepancies in counts or improper stamps, following QCPs and OPCs, or out of date marking conditions.
* Identifies and marks castings as required by specification, instructions, and/or tech cards.
* Reports any discrepancies, or out of date marking condition to supervisor.
* Requires ability to operate pin marking equipment, vibro-etcher, and electro etcher.
* Has the ability to do most of all marking jobs without instructions from the area lead.
* Able to maintain an excellent part marking proficiency with zero tolerance for error.
* Successfully comply with Customer Acceptance Criteria on a consistent basis.
* Demonstrate the ability to research pertinent data to support the generation of accurate tech cards for the department.
* Demonstrate an understanding of all paperwork associat ed with the job and be able to explain why this paperwork is necessary and demonstrate a high rate of accuracy in completing all required documents, including scrap/rework tickets, PCAR's, DCAR's, travelers, and daily "WIP" reports.
* Has ability to pack castings according to customer requirements, without direct supervision, in a manner that will preclude castings from being damaged in shipment.
* All other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
* Experience and/or training are included in considerations.
* Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, read, follows and interprets instructions on technique cards, code sheets as well as other verbal or written instructions.
* Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
* Ability to use simple to complex measuring devices and fixtures.
* Physical ability to perform the essential job functions.
