What will I do in this role with Judson?
As a Dining Utility Associate/Dishwasher, supporting our mission will include the following responsibilities:
Assist in keeping all coolers, freezers, and storage areas cleaned and organized.
Review daily menu, specials & spreadsheets.
Demonstrate knowledge of specialized diets & allergens.
Communicate with production team to ensure orders are delivered correctly & special requests are accommodated.
Identify & gather food items needed for meal service.
Prepare, portion & serve food items according to menu, utilizing spreadsheets as appropriate for therapeutic and/or consistency modified diets.
Perform a variety of tasks, including general sanitation procedures, ensure proper food storage (including prepping, serving daily hot & cold food for breakfast, lunch & dinner as assigned.
Reset all tables and replenish table supplies in dining rooms.
Perform daily, weekly & monthly cleaning projects as assigned.
Use HAACP food handling procedures during preparation, cooking, serving & storing food.
Sweep & mop as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
What do I need for this role with Judson?

General Purpose:
Provides and oversees residents who live in Judson Independent Living to assure the maximum health and wellness, autonomy, and quality of living for them is restored or maintained.
Provides supervision and guidance to associates providing direct care services to Judson Home Care (JHC). Works collaboratively with the team to provide coordinated care. Self-direction in maintaining the standards of practice in order to maintain maximum wellness and independence of the clients served through JHC.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
General Home Health duties:
· Completes intake, assessments and development of plan of care for Home Care clients.
· Monitors care delivery and makes changes as needed to care plan for Home Care clients.
· Maintains required documentation including developing, implementing and evaluating the care plan, as changes in condition occur and as required.
· Oversight of care delivered by the Home Care Aide and makes adjustments to plan of care as needed. Coaches the Home Care Aide to improve care delivery.
· Monitors resident/community client appropriateness in current level of care, assesses and advises when other services may be appropriate.
· Delivers and coordinates case management services; and making referrals for other services accordingly.
· Effective communication with residents and families. Actively listens to resident and family concerns and identifies solutions.
· Participates in Quality Improvement initiatives
· Initiates or participates in care conferences and maintains effective communication with interdisciplinary teams.
· Makes home visits to prospective move-ins - for assessment and alignment with appropriate level of care.
IL Community duties:
· Maintain clinic hours for residents of that community.
· Offers health counseling and be available to residents in the capacity of listening to concerns and problems.
· Introduces new residents to various levels of care and obtains necessary medical and contact information ie: Advanced Directives. Updates contact and emergency information as necessary.
· Coordinates care and care transitions and serves as liaison as resident requires alternative services working collaboratively with the social worker at each community,
· Completes annual updates, or more frequently if necessary, resident face sheets to include diagnosis, medications and contact information for physicians, emergencies and contacts as well as advanced directives.
· Complete pre-admission assessments and attend pre-admission care conferences as applicable.
Human Resource duties:
· Conducts employee supervisory visits, which monitors competency levels of care provided by HHAs to residents/community clients.
Administrative duties:
· Provides on-call coverage after hours and is therefore required to carry pager and have access to a phone at all times.
· Responds promptly to all pages resolving all clinical care situations in association with existing cases.
· Prepares and submits monthly documentation for billing.
Miscellaneous:

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Certifications:

General Purpose:
The Home Health Aide (HHA) is responsible for providing personal care to residents/community clients following established Judson Home Care policies and procedures and clinical standards, specific residents/community clients care plan, making observations, and reporting appropriately as directed by the supervisor or designee.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities ALL accomplished promptly:
Resident/community client personal care, homemaker, escort, and/or companion duties:
Provides care according to the individual resident/community client care plan, makes observations regarding the individual's condition, and reports/documents the duties performed and the observations made during all shifts of duty.
Supervises residents/community clients at all times when on duty.
Provides personal care to the client, including bathing, oral hygiene, hair care, shaving, skincare, hand and foot care, and dressing.
Assists residents/community clients with mobility, including walking, transferring, and turning positioning using proper body mechanics.
Assists residents/community clients with prescribed exercises, which the residents/community clients and the assistant have been taught and supervised by appropriate personnel.

Reports any changes resulting in hospitalizations, emergency room visits, etc. which would impact the schedule to the scheduler and Resident Care Manager or On Call Nurse.
Reports all emergencies called into “911” while on duty providing service to non-DNR clients in the community per emergency procedures and notifying the Resident Care Manager or On Call Nurse.
Communicate any changes in scheduling DIRECTLY WITH THE SCHEDULER according to JHC policies and procedures.
Education responsibilities:
Attends and keeps records of 12 hours of mandatory and other appropriate in-services annually. Attends and keeps records of current and approved BLS/CPR courses noting that newly hired non-state tested nursing assistants (STNAs) who have not attended BLS/CPR are required to attend BLS/CPR Training within the first quarter of hire.

General Purpose:
The staffing scheduler is responsible for ensuring that Judson Park, Judson Manor, and SFC assisted and skilled areas are efficiently staffed according to budgeted census and unit needs. This position ensures that staffing is based on established rules either administratively or union contracts utilizing permanent staff based on their schedules and filling vacancies and call-off through the use of designated PRN (as needed) pool or other approved venues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Effectively schedules employees to maintain adequate staffing levels established by the State to cover open positions, leaves of absence, jury duty, holiday, work related light duty assignments, and other paid time off in the following manner:
Utilizes prn/ part time employees first.
Utilizes overtime efficiently.
Covers with agency, with approval, if all other options are depleted and position is still open.
Prepares and maintains daily assignment sheets for all 3 sites and insures that:
Staffing is consistent with staffing needs based on budget. Replacement staff is utilized based on the rules established with a goal of reducing overtime and agency usage.
Manages call offs and other staffing issues reporting staffing issues to the Resident Care Manager (RCM) or director with any unfilled vacancies.
Distributes staffing sheets daily to RCM's, Supervisors, and security or other areas as designated.
Monitors and assists employees with Self-scheduling of PTO time according to designated program in place.
Maintains employees' attendance records.
Log call offs, tardiness, reporting off early on attendance record.
Participates in the new hire nursing orientation as directed including but not limited to: departmental processes, rules and expectations, uniforms, and scheduling
Other Related Duties

Assists with union related concerns or issues related to scheduling

General Purpose:
Inspect, repair and maintain Judson Retirement Communities facility HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen, and life safety equipment to insure peak performance and minimal down time. Conduct all organizational business and practices in accordance with Judson Retirement Community policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Preventive Maintenance: Keeping the equipment working through servicing of equipment according to the manufacturer's recommended preventive maintenance schedule.
Corrective Maintenance: Must be capable of the repair of disabled equipment; replace, repair or rework broken parts to assure that the equipment is in good working order.
Overhaul Maintenance: Taking equipment off the line and replacing or rebuilding as necessary.
Construction Maintenance: Adding on to or refurbishment of portions of the facility or the installing of new equipment that will compliment the portion of the facility already in place; requires special planning.
Emergency Coverage: Able (24 hours a day) to respond to emergencies; will carry a pager for notification.
Inventory: Keep records and maintain a revolving inventory and of all parts or items that are repeatedly and frequently used in maintenance.
Staff Meetings: Attend weekly staff meetings where, through joint discussion, interdepartmental issues are discussed.
Reporting to Other Departments: In the case of a request for services to be rendered by another department (housekeeping, dining, nursing, etc.), maintenance will immediately refer to the appropriate department through inter-office mail or voicemail.
Cooperation: Cooperate with all residents and employees who use the Maintenance Request Form in a way that all routine requests are handled methodically and all emergency requests are handled immediately. All questionable requests are to be referred to Administration.
Miscellaneous: Maintains a record of acceptable attendance and punctuality, and must observe all company rules and safety procedures, and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma with at building maintenance experience. Knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems. Experience in the installation of HVAC or refrigeration preferred. Must have the ability to prepare and maintain accurate records, files, and reports.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to walk, stand, sit, crawl, twist, kneel, push, stoop, climb stairs, climb ladders, reach above the shoulders, grasp, pull, bend repeatedly, lift and carry 75 pounds and over.

The programming will include individual and group services providing a variety of modalities such as group exercise classes, individual one-on-one programs, weight room monitoring, group and individual aquatic classes and special maintenance services based on a referral from any of the skilled services (rehab services).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This position requires days. Scheduled work time is allocated in the following manner:
Attend new employee orientation and departmental orientation prior to or within one month of employment to gain an understanding of the organization: the Mission, Goals, Health and Wellness Philosophy.
Support the components of the Health and Wellness philosophy by taking an active role in programs and activities that contribute to the physical, social, emotional, spiritual, vocational and intellectual development of residents and community participants. This could include assisting other Resident Life/Wellness staff with tasks and activities that lead to resident participation and assisting residents with self-initiated programs.
Implement/initiate/teach a variety of physical activity programs that offer residents, from all levels of care, and community members, the opportunity to participate in daily physical activity that meets the minimum daily requirement of 30-minutes a day. All programs will be designed to address functional independence. The programs may include, depending upon the individual's expertise, land and water classes (Arthritis H2O, Free Weights, Weight Machines, Pilates, Yoga, Tai Chi, Balance Ball).
Certification and/or experience in teaching Aquatic Exercise, a plus.
