We are seeking mental health clinicians to join our clinical team on a per diem basis. We will work with you to determine the number of hours you can provide direct face-to-face and/or telehealth sessions and attend supervision so we can provide clinical support. You will work as part of a larger clinical team which includes Clinical Teams at each of our two A31 Community Mental Health Clinics located in Yonkers and Peekskill.
All of our clinicians provide services using a trauma-responsive, whole-person care approach to individuals and families to ensure they receive quality services that best meet their needs. Direct clinical services provided to individuals and families would include: initial evaluations, assessments, and evidenced-based and evidenced-informed treatments - individual, family, and/or group interventions. Our clinical teams currently provide a range of evidenced-based office-based and community-based interventions including CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, EMDR, PCIT, and CPP. Knowledge of or certification in these models would be a plus.

Essential Duties
Key duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Conduct initial evaluations and assessments for new or transferred clients and document accordingly.
Develop clinically appropriate treatment plans and all related documentation for client records.
Provide evidenced-based or evidenced informed psychotherapy / interventions to an agreed caseload of clients and their families using individual, group, and/or family intervention modes (depending on training and certifications)
Implements evidenced-based treatments to fidelity, in various settings, including site-based, home, or other community-based settings in Westchester County (as agreed upon hire)
Ensures the safety of clients and their families by taking immediate action to address safety and well-being threats providing crisis intervention when needed.
Participates in weekly or bi-weekly clinical supervision (as agreed upon hire). Attend other department or staff meetings as agreed or requested by Supervisor/Director.
Focuses on respectful engagement of clients and stakeholders, anticipating their needs, providing information and non-clinical support to clients, families, colleagues, community service providers, and others to ensure high client satisfaction.
Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders (i.e., schools, protective services, etc.) connected to the client and maintains records of communications.
Completes all required paperwork and documentation within agency and stakeholder guidelines.
Attends all job-related agency trainings as directed by Supervisor/Director
Maintains knowledge and adherence of the NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH) and Children's Mental Health Rehabilitation Services (CMHRS) regulations as they relate to clinical practice.
Work with socially, economically, culturally, and ethnically diverse groups in a mutually respectful manner using a strength-based and flexible approach

Essential Qualifications
Key qualifications include:
Master's degree in social work, mental health counselling, marriage and family therapy (i.e. a licensable professional degree)
Licensed Clinician in NYS: LMSW, LMHC-D, LMFT-D or LCSW
Relevant clinical experience with children, adolescence, and families and some knowledge of evidenced-based practices and interventions
Desire to learn and implement trauma-informed care and evidence-based Interventions
High organizational and time-keeping skill to be able to work autonomously
Strong computer skills, and ability to learn and work in electronic health record systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong clinical insight and ability to directly apply clinical feedback
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

This is a 12 month position-10 month school year with a mandatory six week summer program. Vacations are in accordance with the school calendar and the schedule is 8am-3:30pm daily with Wednesdays ending at 5pm to allow for school meetings, professional developments, and trainings.
The Occupational Therapist is expected to have initiative and a strong work ethic and to independently review outcomes and modify intervention programs to meet our treatment outcome goals. Some additional beneficial professional skills could include training in attachment-focused sensory integration approaches, trauma treatment and trauma informed care, and strong writing and presenting skills.
Schedule: 10 month school year and 6 week summer program
Hours - 8:30am-3:30pm daily, except for one day per week so designated for staff conference; 3:00pm-5:00pm.
Essential Duties of Occupational Therapist
Key duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
The Occupational Therapist include, but are not limited to, the ability to analyze tasks relative to areas of occupation, performance skills, activity demands, contexts, and student factors to implement the intervention plan; ability to recognize occupational performance deficits in all areas of occupation.
Participate actively as a treatment team member in staff meetings, team meetings, in-service and trainings.
Work closely with ANDRUS staff and families to develop classrooms and individual interventions that are targeted to support children's sensory needs to enable them to learn better.
Prepare and maintain accurate records, progress notes and other required documentation and clear communication between teachers, teacher's assistants, milieu therapists, related services providers, residential staff, and families.
Work collaboratively with other disciplines and departments for continued development and implementation of campus wide approach that emphasizes self-regulation.
Assess and make recommendations regarding the use of adaptive equipment as needed and provide written justification.
Supports overall strategic plan of the organization.

Essential Qualifications of Occupational Therapist
Key qualifications include:
Successful completion and graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program recognized by NBCOT and completion of all fieldwork requirements. Master's Degree or higher preferred
Certification as an occupational therapist by the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
Current New York State license as an Occupational Therapist.
2 Years of related experience with children, with at least 1 in setting serving children who have self-regulation challenges, trauma histories, or are on the autism spectrum
