2015

Stuut -- who told me he was recruited by Andreessen Horowitz -- said that when he joined the company in May 2015, "Things were not being managed right.

But in June 2015, Fortune reported that Mattes had "quietly resigned" -- and was replaced by Stuut -- following "an internal investigation into possible financial irregularities." Fortune went on to document previous financial shenanigans by Mattes.

2016

By August 2016, the new Jumio had raised $15 million from Millennium Technology Value Partners and Centana Growth Partners, the private equity firm that purchased Jumio for $850,000 in May 2016, according to Finovate.

2018

PALO ALTO, Calif. – July 10, 2018 – Jumio, the leading AI-powered trusted identity as a service provider, today announced its best sales quarter in company history, ending June 30, 2018, representing a 248 percent increase in sales over the same quarter last year.
