We are currently seeking a Concert Assistant & Driver, who will provide driving services and assistance with other backstage services, for guest artists and guest conductors of The Cleveland Orchestra performances. The Concert Assistant & Driver work is dependent on the Orchestra schedule. In weeks when the Orchestra is not performing, you will work anywhere from 0-15 hours per week (the Orchestra is not performing an average of 9 weeks per year). When the Orchestra is performing, you will work between 15-40 hours per week. A scheduled Concert Assistant & Driver may have gaps in assignments on a scheduled workday. There is a guaranteed 2-hour minimum for assignments. Position responsibilities include the following: CONCERT ASSISTANT RESPONSIBILITIES Fulfill the role of a rehearsal and concert assistant during The Cleveland Orchestra rehearsals to ensure that guest artists and guest conductors are familiar with backstage area and are onstage as required.
