He was the founding CEO of bigchalk.com where he created an education network serving 40,000 schools. He later was president and CEO of the Pearson Technology Group. Most recently, he was on the executive board of Wolters Kluwer, a global leader in professional information services. He holds a bachelor of arts from Boston University.

Before founding MaxPoint, Joe Epperson served as the senior finance executive for PayPal’s Global Merchant Services group and was a member of the original eBay Motors executive team. At eBay Motors, Joe was deeply involved in both strategy and operations. Prior to eBay, Joe held finance and strategy positions at 3Com and Ford Motor Company. Inspired and driven by the customer experience, Stefan consistently challenges his team to successfully articulate the value proposition SIGMA delivers to its clients. In addition to his focus at SIGMA, Stefan is a member of many industry social networks as well as Co-Chairman of the Board for Stepping Stones, a family services organization and volunteer/supporter of the Vineyard Conservation Society.
