Position Summary:
Moraine Park Technical College is seeking a Adjunct Faculty Electrical Power Distribution Instructor on our Beaver Dam Campus. This position is responsible for the multiple modality delivery of instruction and facilitation of student learning and providing ongoing development of curriculum, assessment, and learning strategies to meet college academic and workforce needs. In addition, this position will provide regular student support and contact, or refer to the appropriate department, to meet the learner's classroom and career goals.
The successful candidate will have an associate degree in a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience with two years (4,000 hours) of paid work experience related to the program(s) being taught, including one year (2,000 hours) of related paid work experience that has been acquired within the past five years. In lieu of this one year of recent experience, two years of post-secondary teaching experience in the appropriate occupational field within the past five years may be considered. (Two years of post-secondary teaching experience means eight semesters of part-time teaching or four semesters of full-time teaching at an accredited institution.)

Responsibilities:

⢠Actively maintain proficient knowledge and skills in emerging trends and current occupational practices. Complete annual professional development activities in areas of Faculty Quality Assurance Standards (FQAS) competencies. Complete all required training.
⢠Maintain equipment and supplies for the classroom and labs, as necessary to support the assigned program area and future trends in industry.

o Familiar with safety rules, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, electrical code, rigging, right of way, climbing equipment, and tree trimming
o Proficient in map reading, surveying, specifications and drawings, and being computer literate

Desired Qualifications:
⢠OSHA 30 Cardholder.
⢠Completion of an industry-recognized line worker apprenticeship.

Hiring Range: Adjunct pay rates may vary between $39.85 - $43.99/hour based on course configuration
