The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly motivated PhD chemist with expertise in polymer chemistry and its relevant analytical tools (chromatography, mass spectrometry and/or NMR) to join our corporate R&D team for a 12-month post-doctoral position. The Post Doc - Polymer Characterization Chemist will develop new analytical methodologies and design improved workflows to advance polymer characterization and polymer discovery. Their work will drive raw material and product innovation across multiple businesses at P&G. Key Responsibilities: The post-doc will design, execute, integrate and report R&D studies leveraging multiple polymer analytical techniques. This is a lab-focused role requiring superb attention to detail, ability to maintain/improve research processes, and significant hands-on experience with polymer characterization. Job Qualifications Required Qualifications: + Education Requirement: Completed PhD degree, with a major in Chemistry + Strong understanding of polymer chemistry and experience developing/executing analytical approaches to solve polymer problems. + Practical laboratory experience utilizing high-end analytical instrumentation including chromatographic separations coupled to high-resolution mass spectrometry and/or ancillary detectors. + Available for occasional evening calls to collaborate with global teams. + Available to work onsite 4-5 days per week at Mason Innovation Center.
