SUMMARY
The Ecommerce Copywriter is responsible for crafting compelling copy that is "on brand" to be used across multiple touchpoints, across all brands. This person's main responsibilities include writing for marketing emails, SMS, and on site material. Responsibilities include writing copy for digital and traditional advertising mediums, websites, point of sale collateral, social media, product trims, style guides and more. The Ecommerce Copywriter will partner with the Creative Directors, site teams, merchandising and web developers to create well integrated and compelling messaging between visual design and copy.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Write targeted copy for all email and sms related marketing campaigns across direct to consumer brands
Research and apply email copywriting best practices to drive clicks and conversions
Partner with site teams to strategize overall messages to be conveyed to customers
Write clear and persuasive copy for all touch points.
Develop ownable terms for brand specific product attributes (fabrics, performance features, fit, fashion/styling, etc).
Partner with Legal teams to ensure we have the rights to terms and phrases.
Monitor competition and stay abreast of trends.
Proofread all copy and ensure spelling and grammar are perfect.
Analyze and report on optimization tests to improve all around copy based on clicks and conversion
Other duties as needed/assigned within DTC business
Writing content for marketing emails, SMS, promotional on- site material, and general product information
Analyzes impact of content and writing on sales and performance of ecommerce sites

As Junior Copywriter, your primary responsibility will be to write for digital channels, with a focus on paid social media placements. What you will be doing:

About the role:
OLIVER is looking for a Junior Copywriter to join our team dedicated to a major hospitality client.
As Junior Copywriter, your primary responsibility will be to write for digital channels, with a focus on paid social media placements. We're looking for a clever writer that can craft pithy copy with an approachable, conversational tone. You should have an eye for social media trends and an understanding of different user demographics (think: Facebook vs. Snapchat). There will be opportunities to jump in on other projects, ranging from organic social to landing pages and emails. The ideal candidate will be eager to develop their writing skills and creative instincts under the guidance of our Copywriter and Senior Copywriter.
What you will be doing:
Translate the needs of the client into compelling, on-brand messaging with a clear call-to-action.
Write social captions, headlines, and digital banner copy, along with landing pages, emails, and other assets as needed.
Collaborate with designers to create copy that aligns with imagery and other creative elements.
Work closely with account managers to meet the goals of the brief.
Action on internal and client feedback, often with tight turnarounds.
What you need to be great in this role:
1-2 years copywriting experience at an agency or brand in-house group.
A portfolio showcasing short and long form content across digital channels. Work samples can include social media, digital display, website, and/or email. Video and print experience are a plus.
An understanding of audiences across a range of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Snapchat.
The ability to maintain a brand tone of voice while tailoring copy to various B2C and B2B audiences.
Strong research skills and attention to detail, particularly with respect to brand standards, grammar, and spelling.
A self-motivated, proactive, and collaborative nature. Must enjoy working both independently and as part of a team.
Interest in the hospitality and travel space is key!
At the time of this posting, the base salary for this position may range from $61,200.00 to $68,400.00. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. The range listed is just one component of OLIVER's total compensation package.

As a copywriter, you should expect to:
Create concepts and copy for broadcast (scripts), and digital media, including web copy, banners and email, special projects, ads, flyers, direct mail, print collateral, presentations, and other materials for consumer and trade media.
Working with the creative team to produce strategic, on-target creative content
Partner with the creative team on all levels (production, creative, strategy) to create and present multiple creative conceptual options
Qualifications and Requirements:
3-5 years of writing experience in an advertising or related environment
BA in English, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing, or a related field
Possess knowledge of web writing and SEO best practices.
Experience in Mac and Windows applications including Word and PowerPoint.
Working knowledge of visual design programs (Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud) is considered a plus.
Excellent visual communication skills
Superb copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills.
Advertising agency experience is preferred.
This is a hybrid (4/1, Friday is WFH), temp-to-hire role working 40/hours a week in Miami, FL. 100% REMOTE work is not available for this position. Salary: $30 - $36hr.
