We are searching for a Billing Analyst Intern (STUDENT INTERNSHIP) to join our Corporate Accounting Team in our Louisville Corporate Headquarters!! Job Summary: The Billing Analyst Intern role primarily supports 3DR Labs' monthly billing process in the Finance Department. Each day the Billing Analyst Intern will review assigned cases in a list provided. They compare case instructions and protocols with the completed case work. Then the Billing Analyst Intern ensures that the bill is accurate and timely to the client. The Billing Analyst Intern researches inconsistencies, issues, and problems. They make corrections to send out accurate bills. This is a detail-oriented job that requires the ability to stay focused over long periods of time. It is important to understand how to use and access information from various sources including spreadsheets, databases, and files. The successful candidate will have the ability to show initiative and process the billing cases for an extended period of time. Responsibilities Performs daily audits, finds, and corrects errors; adjusts the billing system. Assists with the financial period close procedures to ensure billing accuracy. Drafts and distributes monthly case reports for clients. Research, analyze and resolve client issues. Work collaboratively with other internal team members to support 3DR and team goals. Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Education and Experience Preference for students pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business, but other degrees will be considered Required administrative experience and skill using Microsoft Excel, accessing electronic files and information from databases. Demonstrated ability to find errors and solve problems encountered when comparing disparate data in the case, the bill and source information. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Pleasant and professional demeanor over the phone and in written communications.     This reporting analyst position is responsible for monthly default investor reporting, including loan level reporting to outside companies, partners and government agencies including GSEs, GNMA, FHA, VA & USDA ,and credit bureau report verification and disputes, supporting the operational reporting needs of default including Loss Mitigation, Foreclosure, Collections, Bankruptcy and REO. Primary Duties: Manage and maintain monthly and quarterly loan level default servicing reporting for FHA Single Family Default Monitoring System (SFDMS), VA Loan Electronic Reporting Interface (VALERI), USDA Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and GSE Electronic Data Reporting (EDR). Review system reporting and manage the edits from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac EDR monthly reporting cycles. Review and analyze monthly Credit Bureau reporting and e-OSCAR correction submissions. Create control reports to ensure accurate default status reporting to outside agencies. Develop ad-hoc or operational reports to meet ongoing business requirements. Prepare reports accurately and timely; communicate exceptions with supervisor. Utilize tools such as Excel, Passport and Black Knight's MSP Servicing System and all sites and systems mentioned above.
