What You'll Do

As the Plumbing and Finish Technician, you will be accountable to successfully complete plumbing, hosing, and other pump assemblies on specialty truck bodies and other mobile equipment. You will ensure compliance with applicable Company HSE Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations. Other duties will include:

* Installation, and testing of pump assemblies for truck bodies and other plant equipment
* Plumb, install, and troubleshoot pneumatic systems and make corrections/adjustments as necessary
* Interpret engineering drawing, expectations, and convert into successful finished products
* Accurately account for components used for specific jobs/work orders
* Search for, identify, and implement improvement ideas continually
* Participate in and contribute to team meetings
* Shift to non-routine jobs as necessary (electrical, hydraulic, finish support, etc.)
* Suggest, approve, and implement improvement ideas

What We're Looking For

* Hydraulic assembly and testing certification from an accredited technical or engineering school preferred; two years post High School technical education preferred
* 2 years of hands-on experience in pump assemblies and plumbing, and/or hydraulic and/or pneumatics systems, assembly and testing
* Requires some computer and mathematic skills; Proficient with use of basic measurement tools
* High School Diploma (or GED equivalent) preferred
* Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems including various pumps, motors, plumbing techniques, valves, fittings, hoses, fluids, and clamps
* General mechanical skills and proficiency with hand tools and pipe fittings
* Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player

Overview

Supports manufacturing operations through changeover, set-up, and repair of production equipment. Performs basic mechanical repairs on Company equipment machinery and facilities.

Responsibilities

* Maintains all plant equipment by sanitizing, cleaning, lubricating, and making mechanical repairs.
* Works long or unusual hours on assigned shift.
* Performs various special projects according to skill and ability.
* Performs set-up, changeover, and repair of production equipment.
* Performs other duties as assigned or needed.
* Performs facility assignments as required

Qualifications

Just as important as your experience and skills will be the following characteristics and competencies:

* Ability to troubleshoot most equipment in facility.
* Ability to complete full changeover unassisted.
* Ability to work independently.
* Ability to install and repair plumbing.
* Ability to repair pneumatic equipment.
* Basic compressor knowledge.
* Ability to work under stress.
* Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
* Standing, sitting or walking for duration of shift.
* Visually read work orders, product, etc.
* Manual dexterity for such duties as needed in the maintenance field.
* Ability to work in high elevations, climb stairs, etc.
* Ability to organize and coordinate projects.
* Good math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, etc.).
* Written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities with efficiency and accuracy.
* Beginning electrical experience.
* Basic knowledge of boiler operation.
* Knowledge of advanced mechanical tools.
* Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
* Beginning welding experience.

Position Description

• Responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of all facilities and equipment as needed.

• Oversee/inspect the construction and/or maintenance activities performed by third parties.

• Identify report and correct safety and environmental concerns.

• Complete appropriate documentation and paperwork as required.

• Perform all work in compliance with company standards, procedures, and regulatory and tariff requirements.

• Demonstrate performance toward operational excellence.

• Operate natural gas compressors, treating facilities and pipeline as required.

• Maintain a regular, dependable attendance, and high level of job performance.

• Maintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public.

Position Requirements

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required

• Associate degree (AAS) in Diesel or Automotive Technology, is PREFERRED.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Knowledge of mechanical equipment, internal combustion engines, pumps, compressors, Amine/Dehydration, and Gas Processing related equipment.

• Knowledge of performance parameters and measurement techniques for mechanical equipment.

• Experience with reading and interpreting blueprints and diagrams.

• Knowledge of and experience in safe handling practices of flammable gases, liquids and high pressure systems. • Basic computer skills (knowledge of MS Office, operating systems, company software if applicable)

• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals)

• Problem solving skills, including logical thought processes, with the ability to resolve simple to complex issues.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Customer focus.

• Must be able to work with a team, take direction from Supervisor(s), adhere to required work schedules, focus on attention to details, and follow work rules.

• Must have and maintain a good safety record.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS:

• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and driving record satisfactory to the Company and its insurers.

• May be required to achieve and maintain certifications as required to perform job duties. WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Ability to work in and withstand extreme weather conditions.

• Respond to/address callouts and emergencies outside of regular business hours.

• Will be required to carry a company-provided cell phone, and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.

• Must live within a 30-minute response/travel time to work location

• Overtime may be required and is anticipated.

• Job level commensurate with experience and skill sets.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Physical ability to lift as much as 50 lbs, bend/stoop, kneel and climb stairs/ladders. • Ability to use hand tools and equipment, repetitive hand use such as simple grasp and twisting motion included.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & KNOWLEDGE:

• Knowledge of company policies and practices a plus.

• Experience operating and repairing various treating/process equipment, pumps, coolers, motors, compressor engine types and models.

• Experience operating and repairing treating equipment, pumps, coolers, motors and tower interals. MAXIMO knowledge/experience.
