About the Role

Zymo Research is seeking a motivated and talented Junior Full Stack Web Developer to join our dynamic team at our Tustin, CA office. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in both front-end and back-end web development and a willingness to learn and grow. This role involves developing and maintaining web applications, internal tools, e-commerce platforms and APIs that improve operational efficiency, enhance user experiences, and support Zymo Research's mission of advancing scientific discovery.
As a Junior Full Stack Web Developer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including scientists, product managers, and fellow developers, to create production quality customer-facing applications and/or internal operational software.
This role is contract to hire fully onsite Monday-Friday in Tustin, CA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Maintain and develop user interfaces and components of an internal laboratory information management system (LIMS).
· Work with lab scientists and staff to design user flows for the operation of different lab tests.
· Develop static sites with landing pages and blogs using WordPress.
· Develop e-commerce sites with headless Shopify architecture and content management system. Develop custom frontends according to design and specifications.
Back-End Development
· Maintain and develop backend code and logics of an internal LIMS to accommodate addition of new tests and workflows.
· Contribute to the modification and design of database schema and architecture.
· Develop code to interact with e-commerce services' APIs such as Shopify, Klaviyo, SendGrid, Twilio, Stripe, etc.
· Develop middleware to support data flow and synchronization between different 3

party services and/or internal systems.
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience).
· Proficiency in React and/or Next.js framework, HTML, CSS.
· Proficiency in Python backend framework such as Django and Flask.
· Experience in creating and using REST APIs.
· Experience in version control tools such as Git.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience with Shopify site development, preferably in headless architecture.
· Experience with content management systems such as Sanity.
· Experience with Docker and CI/CD tools.
· Experience with AWS services such as S3, SQS, API Gateway, Lambda, etc.

Compensation, Benefits, and Perks:
The estimated base compensation range for this position is $100,000-$120,000 annually at the time of posting. About This Role
Spring internships will range between the months of January and May. All dates dependent upon the university schedule of the selected students. Internships are full-time and on-site in Los Angeles, CA.
In this role, you will contribute to developing internal mission control software used by engineers and operators to monitor, command, and analyze Varda's spacecraft.
