Role Overview

GOAT Group is seeking a sneaker enthusiast looking to combine their passion with a full time career for GOAT Authentication and Flight Club Consignment teams. The ideal candidate possesses a solid knowledge of not only sneakers, but of the footwear consignment industry for brands such as Nike, Jordan, Adidas, New Balance, etc. As a Junior Footwear Authentication Specialist, you must have the ability to verify authenticity of sneakers across the major sneaker brands. In addition, a Junior Footwear Authentication Specialist must keep up with footwear industry trends, sneaker releases, and collaborations with the world's best retailers, from streetwear to high fashion. You will not only determine authenticity of sneakers, but spot manufacturer defects, assess wear, and inspect SKU and size, ensuring that each buyer has the retail experience they've come to expect.

In this role, you will:

* Assist Senior Authentication Specialists in the sneaker verification process
* Receive and arrange inbound inventory according to brand, model, etc
* Keep detailed notes and enter accurate data into the GOAT Group database, including release information, product SKUs and production dates
* Continuously research and learn about new models and brands of sneakers
* Manage the sneaker authentication process on your own

We are looking for:

* Passion for sneakers, technology and helping others succeed
* Knowledge of sneakers across all brands, including originals and re-releases
* Ability to recognize current trends within the industry
* Highly organized with demonstrated attention to detail
* A quick learner, a self-starter, able to work independently, and you're willing (and able) to handle the pressures of an increasing level of responsibility
* Must be able to lift and move boxes (up to 35 pounds)
* Must be available and willing to work extended hours as occasionally needed (during crunch times!) per day or per week, including weekends and holidays, to meet business needs.

The Continuous Improvement Specialist is responsible for guiding the execution of lean & waste implementation plans to exceed the business objectives. This role is fundamental in supporting and leading implementation, productivity improvement, and loss elimination initiatives across the manufacturing site. Success is measured by the ability to actively engage our manufacturing sites to achieve tangible results and to educate teams in waste elimination and Continuous Improvement (CI) using Lean Principles.

Responsibilities :

• Knowledge of, understanding of and compliance to all QOD’s that are associated with your job description.
• Actively participate in Hammer Packaging’s Lean, Quality, Product Safety, SQF (Safe Quality Foods), and Workplace Safety Programs.
• Utilization of CI/Lean tools, processes, and systems.
• Guide Kaizen events, follow up on action items, analyze outcomes and re-evaluate outcomes through hands-on participation.
• Analyze reporting and communication of departmental key metrics related to continuous improvements, safety, and environmental.
• Drive Key Performance Indicators (KPI) by utilizing Lean Principles to analyze systems and create action plans to improve them.
• Understand and apply financial drivers and Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
• Guide team to develop and maintain engineering competencies at the sites by coaching and mentoring to build capabilities.
• Work with a wide variety of corporate leadership, department management, site associates, and outside vendors and contractors to drive improvement in Safety, Quality, production efficiency, costs and loss reduction.
• Provide overall support, assistance, direction, and communication to management teams regarding CI initiatives.
• Sharing best practices to drive results and capability to development consistency.
• Perform relevant duties as assigned by Director of Quality and Operational Excellence.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Packaging Science or Engineering.
• Lean Six Sigma experience is preferred.
• 1-2 years of manufacturing experience with continuous experience is required.
• Experience leading technical resources to successfully maintain production line equipment to achieve high levels of productivity.
• Analytical, problem solving, technical troubleshooting skills, self-starter, communication, leadership skills.

What you will be doing

o Provides budgets based on client completed quote questionnaire for temperature & time sensitive transport; Cell & Gene Therapies, Direct to/from Patient, general clinical trials, commercial pharmaceuticals and R&D material which includes:

* Pricing
* Packaging

o Communicate via e-mail and phone with clients, prospects, the sales team, customer service. Under the supervision of Supervisor or Specialist communicates with finance. Liaises with other World Courier offices/departments to find optimal solutions as necessary.

o A Jr Specialist understands the critical nature of these requests and produces the estimates in a timely manner. While trained across all the different levels of quotes, will likely spend most of the time on Level 1 and 2 and in a support role for the more complex (3 and 4) and RFPs.

* Handling Level 1 quotes (5 lanes or less) for the following packaging GTC, GDI, VIP, or any packaging within our global network.
* Handling Level 2 quotes (6-25 )
* Handling Level 3 quotes (26+ Lanes and out of network packaging) under the supervision of Supervisor or Sr Specialist
* Handling Level 4 quotes (RFPs, pallet containers and Heavyweight Quotes) under supervision of Supervisor or Sr Specialist

o Support quoting of large RFPs under the supervision of the Supervisor and be able to articulate impact of pricing to help us win more business.

o Use of quoting tool and discount software as applicable

o Navigate the transport management system

o Utilizing routing software, Share Point, Alteryx

o Responsible to log quotes daily

o Participate at Quote Team meetings as well as North American Sales Meetings. Domestic travel may be required up to several times per year.

What your background should look like

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

* Preferred education in fields such as business administration, information technology, data analytics, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor's degree Program.
* 1-3 years logistics experience preferred.

MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

* Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
* Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail
* Strong geography knowledge
* Comfortable sending large volume of emails daily and managing high volume inbox
* Strong Microsoft Office experience, especially in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
* Working knowledge of computers necessary to operate effectively with company systems and programs
* Professionalism
* Ability to multitask and prioritize
* Interpersonal skills sufficient to develop and maintain cooperative working and business relationships with others
* Must be able to communicate with clients and understand their needs
