Responsibilities
Provides strong analytical and troubleshooting skills proactively for implementing and supporting practice management applications for the Northside Hospital user community. Advocates for user needs and coordinates support requests within Information Systems & Technology. Supports efforts which ensure services by developing and delivering technically sound solutions for customer technology needs. Acts as liaison among various operational business partners, Information Systems & Technology, and vendors. Consults with and advises billing departments on operational integration of available technology.
Functions as technical subject matter expert on various billing and technical initiative teams. Provides internal and external training and mentorship. Provides leadership in long term planning and in the development of new products and technology, including design and implementation of new billing and reporting applications. Coordinates other non-routine projects requiring high level of independent analysis. Performs complex modeling in order to meet ongoing needs of professional staff. Maintains comprehensive knowledge of best practices utilized in application design or upgrade in order to ensure ability to collect and report accurate and useable data.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Engineering or related field, plus five years' experience in computer programming, or Associates Degree in the above plus seven (7) years of experience in computer programming or High School Diploma plus nine (9) years of experience in computer programming.

A Day in the Life of a Banfield Veterinary Assistant
The Vet Assistant provides professional, efficient and exceptional service at all times, making sure that clients and pets are comfortable in the hospital.
