We are currently seeking a Rental Division Service Technician to join our team in Cincinnati. As a Rental Division Service Technician you will perform a variety of daily physical tasks to ensure safe and efficient rental operations. Your primary objective will be to provide labor assistance to service technicians, drivers, coordinators and other branch personnel engaged in meeting the daily and long-term needs of our customers.
This individual will be responsible for the effective washing, detailing and prepping of equipment and tools for delivery to Messer project sites and regions. This individual will perform a variety of duties for his/her assigned location(s). They will develop positive relationships with other Rental Division employees in order to facilitate the atmosphere and positive work environment for a successful team.
What You Will Do:
Loading and Unloading of trucks
Inspecting equipment and tools upon return for defects or missing items
Perform Rental Ready inspections
Assist with small tool and equipment maintenance
Pressure Washing and cleaning of returned tools and equipment
Keep warehouse and laydown area organized and safe
Delivery / Pick-up of Equipment, tools and supplies as needed
And all other duties and responsibilities determined by the management of the rental division

We have immediate openings for Archaeology Field Technicians for projects located in Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, and Kentucky, which are ongoing and starting soon. These include a Phase III investigation of a major Fort Ancient village site and Phase I, II investigations of Woodland period sites in the Scioto Valley. Field technicians will be working under the supervision of a Field Supervisor and/or Principal Investigator. The ongoing and future projects should see work through the late summer.
The work will involve archaeological excavation (i.e., test units), feature documentation, mapping and profiling, shovel testing, surface survey, and screening for artifacts. Phase III investigations are primarily in heated tents.
Minimum requirements include an Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a related field; field school or archaeological field experience (previous work in Cultural Resource Management preferred); good organizational skills; and ability to maintain neat and accurate field notes. Pay starts at $20/hr and is based on experience. Per-diem ($41/day) and lodging is provided for all project work requiring overnight stays away from your home office, and paid sick time accrual is offered.

Summary: Works on installing new underground irrigation systems for both residential and commercial clients. Requiring previous irrigation experience and/or electrical experience. With the guidance of Landscape Project Managers and the Landscape Operations Manager, oversees the efficient operation of site maintenance while operating within EMI budget guidelines. Works in cooperation with Landscape Design / Sales, Irrigation Crew Members, Landscape & Maintenance Division Operations Manager and Assets Manager with quality and customer satisfaction as top priority. Able to properly maintain and complete daily paperwork needed to report service activities to customers and EMI. Able and willing to communicate with customer site representatives when needed. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and offers overtime pay after working 40 hours. (On call during the weekend only in special circumstances)
Primary Responsibilities
As a field technician, you'll use our tech to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track machine service intervals, order parts, and diagnose issues faster by pulling data from hundreds of makes and models. With real-time information at your fingertips, you can determine the root cause and corrective action for each issue quickly, enabling you to work smarter, not harder.
* Practice safe job practices for repairing equipment
* Use technology (laptops and tablets) comfortably
* Field Mechanic: When required, travel to customer job sites to perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors
* Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations, and handle the repairs
* Work individually or with another technician(s) to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites
