I currently serve as the Senior Vice President (SVP) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Just Born, Inc., a family-owned candy manufacturer headquartered in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Just Born has been in business for more than nine decades and three generations, and makes some of America’s favorite candies, including PEEPS®, MIKE AND IKE®, HOT TAMALES®, GOLDENBERG’S® PEANUT CHEWS.

I joined Just Born in 1995 as Vice President of the Finance Division, assumed the role of CFO in 2002, and was promoted to SVP and CFO in 2007. In my current role, I oversee all financial and legal activities at Just Born, and serves as a member of the company’s Executive team. In addition, I am responsible for developing and leading strategic planning initiatives, risk and crisis management, controls and processes accountability, acquisition activities and intellectual property management. I oversee all financial reporting and control activities in conjunction with a team of external auditors, and manages all corporate legal matters.

Prior to joining Just Born, I spent eleven years at Leaf Candy Company in Chicago, Illinois in various financial leadership roles including mergers & acquisitions, and international business development. During the latter part of my tenure with Leaf, I served as Vice President and General Manager of the Donruss Trading Cards Division responsible for all operations of this subsidiary. Before working with the Leaf organization, I was an Audit Supervisor for six years in the Chicago office of Coopers & Lybrand, a public accounting firm. In this position I was engaged in performing independent audits and reviews of clients which included both large publicly-held corporations and small start-up companies in a range of industries.

I served from 2008 through 2011, as a member on the Board of Directors and the Chairman of the Audit Committee of Paragon Technologies, Inc., a publicly held company, headquartered in Easton, Pennsylvania.
