The Department of Economic Security, Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Justice Reach In Coordinator. DDD provides individuals with developmental disabilities, and their families, services and supports that are flexible, high quality, and member driven. These services provide individuals with opportunities to exercise their rights and responsibilities of independent decision-making and engagement in the community. Applicants for this position cannot be licensed or certified by the DDD Office of Licensing Certification and Regulation, cannot have a principal interest in or have a spouse or close family with principal interest in a DDD Qualified Vendor Agreement, and cannot be employed or subcontracted by a DDD Qualified Vendor. This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures. Job Duties: Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: ● Acts as a liaison between the Justice System, the Support Coordination team and justice partners to ensure identified individuals are provided with coordinated re-entry services. Notifies Support Coordination and other Division areas when an individual exits a Justice System facility. Coordinates a Release Planning meeting. Responsible for ensuring Release Planning supports transition back into the community. Monitors to ensure a successful transition back into the community. ● Maintains documentation and statistical information as well as spreadsheets and other reports, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports regarding members involved in the justice system. ● Monitors and responds to inquiries in the Division's Benefits Coordination inbox and provides family members, responsible persons, members, community members, and division staff with resources. ● Provides presentations of the Justice Reach-In Program to internal and external stakeholders. ● Facilitates monthly meetings with the Justice Committee. Presents comprehensive member updates to Justice Committee members. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs): Knowledge in: ● DDD service system. ● AHCCCS; ALTCS ● Social Security, Medicare, Special Needs Plans, Medicare Advantage Plans. ● Social Security Work Incentives. ● Resources and benefits available within the community. Skills In: ● Oral and written communication. ● Working with stakeholders, families, Division staff, providers and external stakeholders in a professional manner. ● Designing, developing, implementing and evaluating a process for tracking and evaluating benefits received by DDD designated members. ● Establish and maintain effective working relationships with multi-disciplinary team. Selective Preference(s): The ideal candidate for this position will have: ● Experience in developmental disabilities, specifically Support Coordination. Experience with the AHCCCS programs and Justice System knowledge is desirable. Pre-Employment Requirements: ● Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver's license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver's license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to Driver's license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operated a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) LASCO has a long-standing history of being committed to searching out the patterns, causes of, and solutions to the repetitive and fundamental legal problems facing low-income Ohioans and pursuing the legal recourse needed to address those problems. Since 1966, our organizations have helped thousands of Ohio's poor obtain and keep housing, secure public benefits, worked with families to gain and maintain economic stability, and helped domestic violence survivors to live free of fear and abuse and to obtain the resources needed to sustain themselves and their children. LASCO is pleased to make the LASCO Pursuing Justice Clerkship available. The Clerkship program enables students entering or enrolled in law school to receive funding to work during the Fall, Spring, and/or Summer for LASCO. We are currently accepting applications for the spring 2026 term. This clerkship aims to demonstrate our organization's values by providing financial support and legal experience to law students as they begin their legal careers. To that end, LASCO encourages students to explore public interest law, to become Legal Aid lawyers and join Ohio Legal Aid organizations, with the goal that over time these organizations, including LASCO, will better serve eligible clients in Ohio. The Clerkship The spring 2026 LASCO Pursuing Justice Clerkship term will be based on the school year semester and run between September and December. The Clerkship anticipates between 10 - 40 hours worked per week over the 10-week period with virtual components as well as hybrid work flexibility. The Clerkship is funded at a rate of $20 per hour. Clerks will be assigned a mentor from LASCO. This mentor will not only provide support and guidance within LASCO but will also support and create opportunities to engage with the greater legal community.
