Summary of Position: As a Host, you are the first and last impression guests have of JTR Group. Hosts greet guests at the front door and seat them in the dining room. Hosts must be able to take accurate and complete information from guests in person and over the phone while handling multiple tasks simultaneously. Phone etiquette and general friendliness are required, as well as a genuine enjoyment of interacting with people. Duties & Responsibilities: Follow all JTR Group policies and procedures Greet guests quickly and with a smile, noting guests names Engage guests about who we are and what we offer Provide guests with information regarding food and beverages Take down reservation information and operate table management software quickly, accurately, and efficiently Answer the phone promptly with a friendly demeanor Communicate vital information regarding reservations and requests to Management Track and manage the workload of Servers on the dining room floor, ensuring appropriate pacing and covers Maintain restrooms and dining room cleanliness during the course of service Notify Management when supplies are low Help buss dirty tables and reset them for incoming reservations Respond to guest complaints with tact and poise, communicate issues with the Manager on Duty All other tasks/duties assigned Qualifications: Be 16 years of age or older Be able to communicate respectfully and honestly with others, including all staff Have knowledge of service, food, and beverage with at least 1 year of experience in front of house operations (or 1 year of customer service experience) Be able to do basic math calculations Have the ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time, up to 5 hours Personality Considerations: Focus on service, quality, and hospitality Great guest and employee relations Demonstrated creativity and forward-thinking Self-motivated Confident Team-oriented Ambition to grow within the company Desire for continued education and growth Kind Honest Trustworthy Respectful Final Considerations: We are looking for Hosts who embrace our belief that we strive to meet and exceed the expectations of our mission daily.
