The Contribution You'll bring to this Role: Justrite Safety Group is seeking a Friedman Frontier ERP Technical Specialist to join our IT team. This fully remote role is responsible for supporting, enhancing, and maintaining the Friedman Frontier ERP system-including Data Broker and Varsity Shipping-while also providing development and support for custom applications on the IBMi (AS400) platform. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical knowledge of ERP systems with programming expertise in RPG and related languages to support both current and legacy business applications. What You'll Do at Justrite: Provide primary support for Friedman Frontier ERP, including configuration, troubleshooting, process optimization, and integration with related systems (Data Broker, Varsity Shipping, label printing, EDI). Develop, maintain, and enhance custom applications and modifications on the IBMi platform using RPG, COBOL, SQL/DB2, and related technologies. Analyze and resolve ERP and legacy system issues through code review, debugging, and root-cause analysis; apply fixes and improvements as needed. Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements, design solutions, and implement process improvements across manufacturing, warehouse management, quality, and inventory functions. Participate in and support ERP upgrades, patches, and system enhancements, including testing, documentation, and change management. Design, implement, and support integrations between Friedman Frontier and third-party applications Administer ERP security groups, user access, and permissions, ensuring compliance with company policies and audit requirements. Provide user training, documentation, and ongoing application support, including help desk ticket resolution. Collaborate with IT colleagues and cross-functional teams to deliver ERP-related projects within defined budget, scope, and timelines. Maintain departmental documentation, SOPs, and work instructions related to ERP and IBMi systems. Assist in the support and maintenance of other ERP systems used within the business, such as Sage and Global Shop, providing troubleshooting and user support as needed. Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external clients by proactively communicating status, resolving issues, and ensuring minimal business disruption. Your Skills and Expertise: To ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications at a minimum: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related discipline, or equivalent experience. 5+ years hands-on experience with Friedman Frontier ERP (required), including core manufacturing modules (inventory, warehouse management, quality, production) and planning tools (APS/MRP). Experience with other ERP systems such as Sage and Global Shop a plus. Proficiency in IBMi (AS400) programming and support, including RPG, COBOL, SQL/DB2, and file structure management. Familiarity with object-oriented development environments; Java experience preferred. Experience with ERP integration points such as Varsity Shipping, label printing, EDI, APIs, and custom data flows. Strong understanding of ERP security group setup and administration. Demonstrated ability to support the full ERP lifecycle: discovery, requirements, build, testing, training, and support Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective communicator with strong user support, training, and documentation skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote, Visio, SharePoint). Experience with project management, change management, and process improvement preferred. Compensation: The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $90,000 to $120,000. Actual base salaries will vary and may be above or below the recommended pay range based on factors such as but not limited to location, relevant experience and performance. What You'll Do at Justrite: Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Coach and advise safety, human resources, and operations leaders to build and sustain a world-class safety culture. Advise management on appropriate resolution and corrective actions related to employee safety concerns and incidents. Manage and oversee third-party compliance, audit, and safety training providers. Establish and drive a proactive safety culture through continuous improvement tools such as safety committees, Gemba walks, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), Kaizen events, and safety orientations. Maintain systems for reporting, investigating, tracking, and correcting safety incidents, near misses, and hazards; ensure root cause analysis and corrective action effectiveness. Develop, implement, and maintain EH&S policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, federal, and international regulations (OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory bodies). Establish long-term incident prevention strategies and cost control objectives, including reduction of workers' compensation costs. Oversee root cause analysis and corrective action processes related to internal defects, supplier quality issues, and customer complaints. Support new product introductions and process changes by ensuring quality risk assessments, controls, and validation activities are completed. Lead supplier quality expectations and performance management in partnership with sourcing and operations teams. Promote a culture of quality ownership and continuous improvement across the organization. Leadership & Strategic Responsibilities Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing EH&S and Quality team in a matrixed, global environment. Your Skills and Expertise: To ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite requires the following qualifications at a minimum: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree or equivalent in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field preferred. Minimum of three years' experience in a manufacturing environment utilizing mechatronics technologies Strong understanding of PLC programming and troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar systems).
