ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Proficient in all aspects of general dentistry including the ability to perform selected specialty services. Specifically, the provider should possess the expertise and competency to perform the following:
Assist in patient scheduling to assure dental clinic productivity and appropriate management of dental patients.
Communicate dental treatment information to patients, parents or guardians and clinical staff in a clear and effective manner.
Diagnose pathological or irregular oral conditions.
Document and chart in the patients' dental records appropriately, using EDR and ability to effectively use practice management software (Dentrix) to schedule, chart, document and bill.
Interpret radiograph; examine, diagnose, and treatment plan diseases and abnormalities and disorders of the oral and facial structure.
Perform routine preventative, periodontal, oral surgery, endodontic, and prosthodontics treatment.
Provide quality dental services to patients efficiently.
Provides limited supervision of dental staff assigned to their clinic location and oversee management of equipment and supplies.

Patient consultation: Meet with patients to discuss their dental concerns, provide treatment options, and explain procedures, risks, and benefits.
Examination and Diagnosis: utilize advanced diagnostic tools such as digital X-rays, pulp tests, and CT scans to assess the condition of teeth and determine the extent of treatment required.
Treatment planning: Develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to the individual needs of each patient.
Pain management: Effectively manage and alleviate dental pain in patients suffering from pulp or nerve-related issues.
Collaboration: work closely with a general dentist and another specialist to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
Patient education: educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to maintain dental health.
After-hour care: Be available to take care of emergency calls and issues.
Training: Train General Dentists the Endodontic diagnosis and treatment planning and endodontist treatment
Continue learning to stay up to date with the latest advancements in endodontic techniques, technologies, and materials.
Record keeping:” Maintain accurate and complete patient records, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Compliance: Adhere to all relevant regulatory guidelines, infection control protocols, and safety standards.
Work with the Dental Director to create the workflows and improve quality improvement as needed.
Complete the tasks assigned to you by the management team.
