PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Provides leadership for best practice implementation, using methodologies and other process improvement tools to identify breakthrough strategies across institutional and functional boundaries that result in significant and documented improvement in healthcare and service delivery Develops and implements tools to enable the cash realization goals set for the revenue cycle Works with internal and external resources and support the ongoing operation of internal and vendor applications and tools Collaborates with revenue cycle associates and vendors to prepare performance metrics and analysis, identify performance improvement opportunities, and support the implementation of solutions to enhance performance Serves as a liaison between IT, leadership and operational users to ensure the optimum use of the software and workflows Works with operational users to define and articulate needs, communicates the requirements to IT staff Provides reliable and timely operational data as assigned for tools and systems used in day-to-day operations of the revenue cycle Assists with the establishment of system controls and reviews mechanisms for policies and procedures Performs complex research and financial projects analysis Develops and prepares complex spreadsheets and presentations Supports assigned operating VP's/Administrators/Directors with various initiatives, financial metrics, reports, and analyses Provides support with various initiatives and task forces throughout the health system Ensures the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of requested reports and analyses and provides interpretation of findings Assists in the development and preparation of presentations for VP's/Administrators/Directors, and ensures the accuracy of their contents Provides input to the budget process regarding operating changes Retrieves and manipulates data from information systems and data warehouses, including writing/designing, customizing and generating reports and dashboards Acts as a resource and provides analytical support to members of the Finance Division team Interacts and communicates with Finance Division team, Directors and Managers to ensure timeliness of accurate data and analysis FTE: 1.0, Shift: Days , Schedule: M-F Position Summary The Revenue Cycle Informatics Advisor is responsible for the independent analysis of information, best practice development, generation, and presentation of strategic information and designs critical to the operational performance, financial viability and ongoing measurement of the revenue cycle. The incumbent provides accurate, timely and objective analysis in all projects assigned related to ongoing and special financial and work flow analysis necessary to support to Revenue Cycle, Finance, Administrators, Directors and Managers throughout the health system and provides advanced analytical support through extensive internal contact with members of IS&T, Financial Services, Contracting and Reimbursement and all levels of leadership throughout the organization.
