Software Applications Specialist Job in Bluffton, OH
This Position supports the company ERP system and Business Intelligence software and requires the ability to work flexible hours on short notice. This position reports to the Manager of Information Technology.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate and oversee project assignments with appropriate staff and/or vendors; participate in the research and evaluation of computer, network, intranet/internet and telecommunications technologies
Application Software Support and Development
Assist staff in the support, analysis and design of application software which assists in solving customer identified problems; test the computer application software, ensure the output is appropriate; support, supervise, and assist in planning, analysis, design, testing, and implementation of customized computer programs
Assist unit/department staff in the use of Computer Assisted Software Engineering software; develop project work plans, timelines, and deliverables for each phase of a project plan; develop systems to oversee and enforce system integrity, security, application and standards; develop and enforce system, application, and customer documentation
Coordinate with staff regarding installation of the application, production implementation, and assist in solving of any problems related to the output from the application
Evaluate new hardware or software
Support and assist in the operation of various computer production systems; meet with unit/department staff to analyze and determine printed and magnetic production output requirements; develop and implement operation procedures which meet or exceed standards; responsible for maintaining a computer operations billing system and assists in solving billing concerns
Reports to the Manager of Information Technology.
Qualifications:
Training, education, or experience with databases (Oracle), report writers, PL/SQL programming, and Microsoft Office
required
Previous experience working with Business Intelligence software preferred
Minimum of Associate Degree in Information Technology
Ability to work independently and efficiently, and have good time management, organizational, and documentation skills
Ability to effectively communicate in a professional and respectful manner within the department and with internal customers
