Qualifications:
Current Montana CertifiedNurse Aide (CNA) certificate required.
Current CPR required as applicable to assigned area(s)
Previous work experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
Additional certifications as applicable to assigned area(s):
Home Health Aide certification preferred or must successfully obtain within six (6) months of hire.
Possess an understanding of the confidentiality laws that govern the provider-patient relationship, including but not limited to HIPAA guidelines.
Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.
Job Specific Duties:
Delivers and assists in delivery of basic patient care under the guidance and direction of assigned leadership and as applicable to assigned area(s).
Communicates with assigned leadership in an effort to coordinate workloads and patient priorities.
Performs accurate CNA assessment while taking patient's vital signs. Informs appropriate stakeholders of any abnormal vital signs and/or changes in the patient's condition, per department protocol and as applicable to assigned area(s).
Maintains patient privacy as defined by Logan Health policies and procedures.
Assists patient with activities of daily living as applicable to assigned area(s).
Accurately and timely documents the care rendered to the patient as defined by department procedure and as applicable to assigned area(s).
Assists in maintaining function by maintaining inventory, restocking of rooms, supply areas, maintains equipment for safety and cleanliness, as applicable to assigned area(s).
Assists with maintaining compliance with Medicare and all applicable regulatory standards.
Works with appropriate stakeholders to set and maintain priorities for patient care tasks.
Assists in administrative duties and day-to-day operations per department procedure and as applicable to assigned area(s).
Promotes a safe and therapeutic environment for the patient, provides personal care per department procedure and as applicable to assigned area(s).

*Assists the RN/LPN in maintaining unit function by restocking of rooms and supply areas.
*Maintains equipment in patient care rooms for safety and cleanliness.
*Assists the RN/LPN with maintaining compliance with Medicare and all applicable regulatory standards.
*Works with the RN/LPNs to set and maintain priorities for patient care tasks.
*Adheres to and upholds all organizational customer service policies and standards while caring for patients, their families and interacting with co-workers and physicians.
