    Amyx is seeking a Vice President (VP)/Division Leader to lead and grow its Defense Accounts. This executive will have full divisional accountability for program execution, financial performance, growth, and people leadership within one of Amyx's two Program Operations divisions. As a member of the Amyx Leadership Team, the VP will partner closely with the COO and executive leadership to define and execute divisional strategy aligned to corporate objectives. The role requires strong executive presence with federal customers, disciplined operational leadership, and a demonstrated ability to scale and mature a complex GovCon portfolio. This position is based at Amyx headquarters in Reston, VA and requires frequent engagement with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Program Execution Maintain full accountability for delivery excellence across all programs within the assigned division, ensuring contractual compliance, quality performance, and customer satisfaction. Provide executive oversight of program start-ups, transition-in/out, including risk mitigation and continuity of operations. Establish and enforce divisional delivery standards, metrics, and best practices aligned to Amyx's Program Operations framework. Mentor and guide Portfolio Managers and Program Managers to strengthen execution discipline, risk management, and customer engagement. Ensure accurate and timely division-level reporting, including operational dashboards, corporate radar inputs, lessons learned, and executive communications. Serve as an executive liaison to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders, escalating and resolving delivery-related issues as needed. Collaborate directly with customers to understand evolving mission needs and shape future requirements. Financial Management Own division-level financial performance, including Annual Operating Plan (AOP) development, forecasting, and full P&L accountability. Ensure alignment between program, portfolio, division, and corporate financial goals. Drive disciplined financial management practices, including cost control, burn-rate management, subcontractor oversight, and margin optimization. Partner with Program Controls and Finance to proactively identify and resolve financial risks and variances. Lead operational efficiency initiatives and margin improvement strategies across the division. Growth and Business Development Develop and execute Division Account Plan, including alignment of division priorities with long-term corporate growth objectives, prioritization of strategic pursuits, and customer investments. Executive ownership of key teaming, subcontractor, and strategic partner relationships. Own recompete strategies. Evaluation and development of partner strategies to enhance win probability and delivery capability. Serve as Capture Manager or Executive Sponsor for select priority pursuits. Act as the division's senior decision authority for pricing, deal strategy, and bid decisions. Provide strategic guidance and oversight for all divisional capture and proposal efforts in coordination with corporate Growth leadership. Drive organic growth strategies across existing contracts and portfolios. (typically 8-15% YoY) Build and sustain strong relationships with key government customers, industry partners, and teaming organizations. Leadership and Talent Development Provide strong, visible leadership for the division, fostering a culture of accountability, performance, and engagement. Develop, mentor, and retain high-performing Portfolio Managers and Program Managers in alignment with the “Amyx Way.” Partner with Human Resources on workforce planning, performance management, succession planning, and employee relations. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in relevant business, technical, or engineering discipline. 10-15 years of progressive leadership experience in government contracting, with a strong focus on Department of Defense customers. Minimum of 5 years of experience leading a $75M+ portfolio or division with direct oversight of Portfolio and Program Managers. (Indirect workforce: 500-1,000 employees). Demonstrated general management mindset with full lifecycle ownership (people, profit, performance). Strong understanding of GovCon financial mechanics, including indirect rates, wrap rates, and contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF, CPIF). Proven track record of organic growth through on-contract expansion and new contract wins. Extensive experience leading capture efforts from opportunity identification through award and transition-in. Strong deal strategy, pricing, and negotiation expertise. Executive-level communication skills and the ability to engage credibly with senior government and industry leaders. Ability to lead through ambiguity, change, and rapid growth. Active DoD SECRET clearance. Preferred Advanced degree in business, engineering, or a related discipline. TOP SECRET / SCI eligibility.
