Job Title: Trainee - Community Impact - Community Relations Job Summary: This Community Impact Trainee will support Community Relations efforts in the Community Impact department by assisting with research, coordination, execution, and documentation of programs and activities that are tied to the department's strategic priority areas and advance the goals of the Royals Community Impact department. This role reports to the Sr. Coordinator, Community Impact. Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities: Assist in coordinating and executing programs and events both in-stadium and outside the stadium. Support Community Impact's internal and external communication strategy by supporting content and graphic creation through ideation and effective documentation of in-stadium and out-of- stadium events. Assist with Royals Hall of Fame programming. Perform other tasks assigned to support the department. Position Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required: Ability to start March 2nd through 1-2 weeks following the end of the 2026 Royals baseball season. Must have the ability to support Royals regular season home game schedule including flexible hours, holidays, weekends, and evenings as needed. Completion of or actively pursuing a degree in a related program or field is preferred, or relevant work experience. Canva, Adobe photoshop, or a similar software experience for graphic generation is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to successfully plan and execute programs/events. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, prioritize, and maintain flexibility when working on multiple projects with competing deadlines. Goal-oriented self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift items weighing as much as 15 pounds. Must be able to work in a seated position for majority of workday. Must be able to be productive utilizing a computer keyboard and telephone. Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times. Specific vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Must be comfortable navigating the facility to access the office, concourse, etc. Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling. Hillstone's summer 2026 internship is designed for rising seniors with a serious interest in pursuing a career in restaurant management or culinary management. Interns are exposed to the business in its entirety; however, a specific focus is placed on daily operations and service.
