About This Role
The Kansas FFA Association is seeking an energetic and highly organized Event Coordinator who is passionate about creating meaningful experiences that inspire and engage the next generation of agricultural leaders. This role is central to the success of the Kansas State FFA Convention and other statewide events, where members, advisors, alumni, and supporters come together to celebrate achievement, build community, and showcase leadership.
The Event Coordinator provides essential support and leadership in planning and executing high-impact events that highlight the FFA mission. This includes developing event programming, managing logistics, coordinating volunteers, and ensuring a professional, inspiring atmosphere at gatherings. The position requires creativity, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating with staff, partners, and members.
Beyond logistics, this role is about enhancing the FFA experience-from convention sessions and leadership workshops to recognition ceremonies and leadership events. The Event Coordinator will also contribute to communication efforts, including developing event materials, coordinating social media content related to FFA activities, and engaging with members, families, and stakeholders to build excitement and participation.
Duties/Responsibilities:
* Lead full-cycle planning and coordination for the annual Kansas FFA State Convention.
* Manage event logistics including venue setup, schedules, programming, and technical needs.
* Coordinate vendor contracts, volunteer assignments, and partner participation.
* Ensure event design and execution reflect FFA's mission, values, and brand standards.
* Conduct post-event evaluations and make recommendations for improvement.
* Plan and implement additional statewide events such as leadership conferences, workshops, and recognition ceremonies.
* Oversee registration processes, participant communications, and event materials.
* Coordinate logistical details such as facilities, equipment, catering, and transportation.
* Support the consistency and quality of all FFA events across the state.
* Develop and monitor event budgets, applying cost analysis and resource management principles.
* Procure and coordinate services with vendors for catering, A/V, printing, and facilities.
* Track expenditures and assist with financial reporting and documentation.
* Ensure compliance with university purchasing and fiscal policies.
* Serve as a liaison among university departments, sponsors, advisors, volunteers, and external partners.
* Communicate event plans, expectations, and updates effectively with all stakeholders.
* Foster positive relationships to enhance collaboration and support event success.
* Represent Kansas FFA in a professional and mission-driven manner.
* Assist in developing event-related communications, promotional materials, and signage.
* Coordinate social media content related to FFA events to increase awareness and engagement.
* Collaborate with communications staff to ensure brand consistency across all materials.

What You'll Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications:
* Requires a bachelor's degree. This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by a hiring manager.
Preferred Qualifications:
* 3-5 years of experience in event planning, preferably in youth, educational, or nonprofit environments.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Kansas State University seeks a dynamic and collaborative leader to serve as the Director of Community Health and Well-Being. This position will play a pivotal role in advancing interdisciplinary research, education, and engagement efforts aimed at improving health and well-being across Kansas communities. The Director will spearhead initiatives under K-State's Next-Gen Strategic Plan, bringing together faculty, students, and external partners to develop innovative solutions to pressing community health and well-being challenges.
This position reports to the Director of Strategic Interdisciplinary Program Development in the Office of External Engagement. Under the leadership of the Executive Vice President, the Office of External Engagement connects K-State's research excellence and academic innovation directly to Kansas communities.
The Director will provide vision and leadership to develop and scale interdisciplinary initiatives that address community health and well-being priorities, including rural healthcare, housing, childcare, aging, broadband access, food security, water sustainability, and economic vitality. This is a high-visibility leadership role with the opportunity to represent Kansas State University at the state and national levels in community health and well-being initiatives. The Director will have a rare opportunity to shape a new interdisciplinary institute from the ground up, establishing Kansas State University as a national leader in community-based health innovation and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Interdisciplinary Team Building: Facilitate collaboration across colleges and departments to address complex community wellness challenges. Establish and support interdisciplinary teams that integrate expertise in health sciences, social sciences, environmental sciences, education, agriculture, architecture, business, and other relevant fields.
* Strategic Leadership: Provide vision and direction for the university's efforts in community health and well-being. Develop and implement strategies to align research, education, and outreach efforts with state and national priorities, including K-State's Next-Gen Strategic Plan Imperatives and the Kansas Board of Regents' Strategic Plan (Economic Prosperity Pillar 3).
* Project Development and Management: Lead and coordinate interdisciplinary priority projects that respond to community needs, advancing public health, rural prosperity, and community resilience.
* Partnership Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with local, state, and national stakeholders, including government agencies, non-profits, healthcare providers, and industry partners. Key collaborators include the Kansas Health Foundation, Kansas Rural Center, Kansas Department of Commerce Office of Rural Prosperity, and community-based organizations across all 105 Kansas counties.
* Student Engagement: Engage students in applied learning experiences, preparing the next generation of leaders in public health, rural education, and community development.
* Grant Writing and Fundraising: Identify funding opportunities and lead grant proposal development to support community health and well-being initiatives. Cultivate philanthropic and corporate support for strategic initiatives.
* Evaluation and Impact Assessment: Work with faculty and external partners to design and implement assessment frameworks to measure the impact of programs and initiatives on community health and well-being outcomes, as well as progress towards the K-State Next-Gen Strategic Plan Imperatives.

About This Role
The Kansas Child Care Training Opportunities (KCCTO) team, within the College of Health and Human Sciences, is looking to hire a System Support Specialist to join their team. This position will work as part of a team to manage customer communications, assist with professional development supports, input data, and provide logistical support for team and systems building efforts. This position reports to KCCTO's Associate Director of Programs.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
* Manage course processing, to include management of registration, emailing course information to participants, communication with trainer, managing participant uploads to Canvas, processing completions, compiling evaluation summaries
* Monitor workflow for course approvals
* Manage invoices, payments, and refunds
* Support systems building collaboration efforts, including the Workforce Development Advisory Group, the Registry Governance Board, and the KCCTO Board of Directors
* Process scholarship applications, including verifying eligibility and other documentation, awarding, and issuing scholarships to applicants or training organizations

* Answer phone requests from customers, collect relevant information, create cases, and assign appropriately
* Assist in managing the organization's email account, responding to web inquiries, and rerouting messages to the appropriate staff

The Veterinary Health Center (VHC) within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a part-time Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated team to help facilitate exemplary patient care in the Small Animal ICU. About This Role

About This Role
The Program/Project Coordinator coordinates and manages the Learning Assistant Program. They also coordinate student success curriculum, teach in and advise for the K-State First program, and serve on program and unit-wide committees.
Since its inception in 2008, K-State First has gone from serving 400 students to well over 2,000 students each year. K-State First has a full-time Assistant Director, a part-time Office Specialist, and regularly changing line-up of graduate student workers in various roles such as GAs, interns, and practicum students.
The Learning Assistant Coordinator not only supports, trains, and supervises undergraduate student leaders in our K-State First Learning Assistant program, but also leads and supports additional efforts in Student Success coursework, teaching, and supervision of graduate research assistants, practicum students, and interns.

The Veterinary Medicine or Engineering focused Licensing Associate or Senior Licensing Associate plays a crucial role in the Kansas State University Research Foundation (KSURF) office by facilitating the commercialization of intellectual property (IP) developed through research and innovation. Temporary full-time research aide for seasonal collection of data on the wild turkey research project.
About Us
The Division of Biology at Kansas State University is composed of a dynamic group of tenure-track, research, and instructional faculty, as well as a large number of postdoctoral research associates, graduate students, and support staff. All of these individuals are essential to accomplish the Division of Biology's mission, to generate and disseminate high-quality biological scientific knowledge through teaching, research, service, and outreach. The research, teaching, and service interests of these individuals are varied, spanning all areas of biological research, teaching and training at the postdoctoral, graduate, and undergraduate levels, as well as service and outreach contributions to the broader scientific community and the public.

What You'll Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications:
* High School diploma
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree
* Experience in capture an handling birds, vhf radio telemetry, vegetation identification of
prairie plants
* Direct experience with capturing and handling turkeys and dove
* Ability to use Excel and other basic computer programs for data entry, skilled in equipment
and vehicle maintenance.
Additional licenses / registrations / certifications:
* Valid Drivers license upon employment

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
