30 minute break to listen to management talk about how good they are doing and ask us to reach out to people to work there because they can't find anyone to work there anymore.
They ask for feed back on how they can improve the place but only allow it through a app on your phone. When you give feedback that the management doesn't like your either fired or the floor supervisors treat you with major distain. Making it a major toxic work environment.
I like that they have these awards for people according to 6 core values. It just always seemed like Management and certain Leadership on the floor are the only ones that win them every year.
I like that management came up with having 3 separate shifts for people to work. 1st, 2nd, and weekend (even though the organization is extremely 1st shift centric for promotions and other things obviously because that's who management and HR see the most)
I have 3 suggestions. First, stop using Chatgpt to write stuff on your website about how good it is to work at Kapco along with having management fill out reviews about Kapco on places like Indeed and Glassdoor. It is extremely obvious and quite frankly sad. The more you do this the more it is apparent to potential candidates that this organization may have an extremely toxic organizational culture. Also, potential customers will start looking at this overall as lazy work from a lazy company if they have not already. Second, Cobot's can only do so much stop relying so heavily on this notion that you can treat people bad and just replace their jobs with Cobot's when no one else want's to work for you in that position. My third suggestion for management is to actually start taking accountability for the negative actions and behaviors of your supervisor staff and maybe people will stay working for you. Everybody knows that $20.00 to $25.00 an hour is the new $15.00 an hour back in the early 2000's. So no one is staying because of the money. Also, there are so few people that actually want to work manufacturing to begin with so don't treat them bad. Think about it, your company location has already burned through a majority of its labor pool in the surrounding area's and the most densely populated area's labor pool close to you don't particularly want to travel to a company that is becoming known for a Toxic Cult like organizational culture that really only Cater's to its Office staff and managers. Really no amount of fake "Societal Impact on our Local Community" or "We are People Focused" Philanthropy will work anymore. The Kacmarcik Center for Human Performance... Really? No one really wants to take them classes. Take a look at your own numbers, Kapco employs upwards of 600 hundred employees and only about 900 to 1000 seats for these classes were taken by employees in 2023 so far. Most of them seats were filled by office staff and were Yoga and mind wellness courses. How many floor employees actually took these classes. Whichever floor employee took the most manufacturing based courses should be given a metal just for having to sit through that hollow drivel. Most of the courses are bad rip offs of YouTube videos or possibly ChatGPT again with no actual sustenance of information. Overall, I leave you with this message "You cannot buy allegiance or loyalty with acts of good will, especially when the people you employ are suffering because of those you have ch
Don't try to hard to impress the anyone in the interviews. They are in desperate need of floor employees. Chances are you will get the job no matter. They are looking for Bodies to fill tasks not people with skill or experience. Fill out the application, get hired do your job and take everything they say with a grain of salt. When you hear "If you know anybody, we need people" and "We give bonuses up to $2000.00" in the company meetings. Remember the words UP TO and these answers. Good Luck!
