Job security, as staff has been cut to skeleton crew on all shifts. For a building with approximately 60 residents there are only 2 CNAs staffed for the 11pm-7am shift. 7am-3pm has been cut from 2 LPNs and 8 CNAs down to 2 LPNs and 4 CNAs. 3pm-11pm shift has 2 LPNs and 4 CNAs.
We are running out of PPE - to include basic gloves, toilet paper and medicine dosing cups. Food quality and quantity is dwindling as well. We have been told by our leadership that "these changes are because of the 1st Quarter financial issues of the company."
The individuals who actually show up and provide world-class care to the residents we care for.
I don't know them, so I don't have an opinion. As far as the financial issues of the company are concerned, I feel that someone needs to take responsibility for these changes that are negatively affecting both staff and the residents we care for.
Hire a better accountant.
I did a bit of research on the location including the reviews of the location I wanted to work at. I paid attention to the attitude of everyone I came into contact with during the interview process and decided I would like to work with them - if/when hired.
Due to several complaints of several coworkers stating they were not paid for their hours worked I have to double check to make sure my check reflects the hours I spend at work.
There is a good representation of diverse demographics within our location.
The residents I care for most days of the month.
I used to like it.
Leadership Issues. My job was decent before but after they hired a new sales and marketing executive I have a bad taste in my mouth from him. He makes me uncomfortable and has no real skills. He only knows a lot of people and can be quite abusive. I confided in a coworker and she told me it's probably not worth mentioning because he has a reputation of this behavior within the industry and clearly they hired him anyway. This really made me think twice about the culture of this company.
