Position Summary:

Responsibilities:

Advise both strategic and private equity buyers/sellers by identifying and analyzing business and financial risks or opportunities throughout the acquisition, disposition, or restructuring of the target company.
Aggregate, manipulate, and analyze target company's detailed financial and operational data to identify financial and operating trends, quality of earnings, & working capital considerations.
Participate in meetings and site visits with target company management, interacting with top-level management to obtain pertinent financial analysis information.
Assist in the build of deal reports and presentations for clients that highlight key financial and operations findings that may impact or drive client's investment thesis.
Work on multiple projects of varying size & complexity.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
A minimum of 0-2 years' experience required, preferably within audit, transaction advisory, or other finance-related roles
CPA or CFA certification or working towards obtaining (preferred)
Strong current knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Familiarity with the M&A process & market
Strong project management skills and highly analytical
Capable of working in a demanding, deadline-driven environment (either independently or within a team dynamic) while effectively managing unexpected issues and/or questions in a professional manner
Ability to adapt communication style to successfully convey messaging & objectives to all levels of management, clients, colleagues, etc.

Responsibilities:

Position Summary:
The Audit Resource Strategy Manager is responsible for strategically managing and optimizing the allocation of professionals within KSM's Audit group. This role ensures that engagement teams are staffed effectively, resources are utilized efficiently across offices, and the group's capacity aligns with both client commitments and the firm's strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Audit Resource Planning
Develop, implement and manage the following:
Plan to bring all office locations under a unified Audit scheduling umbrella, ensuring consistency and equity in assignments across the firm.
Plan to onboard acquired firms that incorporates assessing acquired firms' current state and how they will transition to the Audit groups standards.
Plan to integrate new associates, ensuring an equitable experience across industry groups to foster consistent professional development.
Annually analyze audit workloads by office to determine if engagements should be shifted between locations for optimal utilization and client service delivery.
Build, maintain, and continuously improve rolling audit resource forecasts, incorporating expected client wins, potential client losses, and seasonal peaks.
Partner with Audit leadership and firm management to align staffing with engagement budgets and revenue goals, using resource utilization and financial data to drive scheduling decisions.
Collaborate with IT and Operations to leverage resource management software, AI, and practice management tools to streamline capacity forecasting and reduce manual rework after each busy season.
Audit Resource Utilization & Engagement Staffing
Oversee weekly monitoring of Audit staff utilization, ensuring alignment with engagement schedules and adjusting assignments to avoid inefficiencies and compression.
Proactively identify underutilized professionals and recommend strategies (e.g., reallocating work, adjusting engagement timing, redistributing charge hours) to optimize productivity.
Ensure equitable distribution of audit engagements to support staff development and achievement of charge hour goals.
Balance the Audit group's peak season workload by strategically planning assignments, avoiding excessive overtime, and mitigating periods of underutilization during non-peak seasons.
Work with Off-Shore Outsourcing Director to ensure proper visibility and utilization of off-shore staffing needs.
Manage PTO, leave, CPE and personal hours plans (PHPs), within the Audit group to ensure appropriate coverage and minimal disruption to client service.
Assign professionals to audit teams and industry groups strategically, considering technical skills, staff preferences, client needs, and revenue objectives.
Partner with onboarding talent development team to ensure that staffing decisions support a positive internship experience, career progression, and technical growth.
Ensure engagement staffing aligns with independence rules and professional standards (AICPA, PCAOB, state boards).
Appropriately manage resource skills inventory to ensure staff are assigned where appropriately qualified.
Process Improvement & Reporting
Develop processes to provide Audit leadership with early visibility into group capacity, enabling partners to set realistic client goals and adjust staffing plans proactively.
Establish reporting that links audit scheduling with budget performance, allowing for more accurate engagement forecasting and improved accountability.
Develop and manage the maintenance of KPIs and interactive dashboards that provide audit leadership with real-time, on-demand insights into resource utilization, capacity, and performance.
Implement granular scheduling practices for complex audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up phases.
Continuously evaluate and improve scheduling processes to enhance both efficiency and employee experience, adjusting for scalability and firm goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field
5+ years of progressive experience in resource management, operations, or engagement scheduling; experience in a public accounting firm strongly preferred.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to balance detail-oriented tracking with high-level strategic planning.

Position Summary:
Katz, Sapper & Miller (KSM) is seeking a dedicated Audit Support Coordinator to join our audit and assurance team. The Audit Support Coordinator is responsible for providing high-level administrative, operational, and client service support to our Technical Resource Group and Audit department. This role ensures smooth day-to-day operations by managing internal systems, coordinating team logistics, and facilitating communication across functions. The Audit Support Coordinator contributes to an efficient, responsive team environment and supports both internal and external service excellence.
This is a hybrid role - 3 days in-office and 2 days remote per week.
Primary Responsibilities:
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Request Board Management & Workflow Visibility
Actively monitor the team's request board to complete and manage incoming requests, ensure timely response and equitable task ownership across the team.
Provide administrative support throughout the lifecycle of audit engagements, including planning, execution, and wrap-up activities.
Assist with internal reporting and tracking processes to support team operations.
Documentation and Client Deliverables
Manage and maintain audit documentation filing systems to ensure accuracy, timely updates, and accessibility.
Review, prepare and process engagement letters, supporting documents and other client deliverables with attention to accuracy and deadlines.
Meeting & Travel Coordination
Coordinate logistics for internal and client-facing meetings, including scheduling, logistics, and virtual and in-person setup.
Arrange travel, including booking flights, accommodation, and transportation.
Administrative & Operational Support
Assist with Continuing Professional Education (CPE) coordination, including booking, submitting requests and entering training records.

Supervise, train, and assist OFAS associates with regards to accounting services for clients in preparing workpapers, entering transactions into accounting system, performing monthly financial statement reconciliations, and preparing engagement correspondence with the client.
Review and perform, when necessary, all client work to ensure it is accurate and compliant with the scope of the engagement.
Identify out of scope work and communicate with client, if possible, before commencing the out of scope work.
Adopts, champions, and improves the OFAS standard processes and procedures.
Maintenance and ensuring internal compliance of the OFAS standard processes and procedures, as well as any client directed processes that need to be followed.
Manage unexpected and sometimes urgent client matters as they arise.
On time delivery with regards to internal and external deadlines.
Recommend opportunities for improvement of client's processes.
Run custom financial reports on a regular basis at request of internal or external customers.
Preparation of client KPIs and other management reports.
Budgeting and forecasting projects as needed by client.
Direct contact with 3rd party vendors for routine client account and support matters.
Serves as liaison between the client and the tax team to assist in information gathering.
Have a clear understanding of the firm's and the OFAS practice policies and procedures and a general knowledge of firm products and services in order to offer value added services to the client.

Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred.
Adapts easily to learning new software applications and demonstrates proficiency with core applications.
Efficient entry of transactions with average or above-average data entry time realizations and rates of accuracy.
Able and willing to learn and use new technology software skills efficiently.
5-7 years accounting services experience, with 2-3 years of managing staff, related to financial statement reconciliations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and month-end financial statements/general ledger through trial balance.
Knowledge and experience with various software packages possessing the ability to easily learn new software applications. Position will work primarily with QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, Bill.com, a variety of payroll providers, Microsoft Office applications including Teams.
Has obtained applicable software certifications.
Attention to detail with the ability to multitask with ease and professionalism across a variety of industries in a fast-paced environment.
Project management skills are critical with the ability to manage unexpected and sometimes urgent client matters as they arise.
