Kaufman Music Center company history timeline

1978

Kaufman Center's Merkin Concert Hall, located in the Abraham Goodman House, opened in 1978 and was named in honor of a major gift by Hermann and Ulla Merkin.

2007

A 2007 renovation led by architect Robert A. M. Stern gave the hall and the exterior of the Goodman House a much-needed facelift and improved the technical capabilities of the hall.

2020

Kaufman Music Center 2020-21 artists-in-residence participating in the window performances include composer and pianist Conrad Tao and composer Lisa Bielawa.

2022
