Duties, Responsibilities & Other
Essential Duties and Responsibilities*:
The Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) is responsible for implementing, managing, and documenting all Quality Assurance (QA) activities on VDOT transportation and infrastructure projects. The QAM ensures that all work performed by the contractor, subcontractors, and testing personnel complies with VDOT standards, specifications, the project's QA/QC Plan, and contract requirements. This position is independent from the construction production team and reports directly to executive management and/or the Owner/VDOT as required.
Develop, maintain, and execute the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) for VDOT compliance.
Oversee QA inspection and testing for all project elements, including roadway, structures, utilities, and environmental controls.
Ensure that all materials and work are tested and documented in accordance with VDOT Materials Division Manual of Instructions (MOI) and project specifications.
Validate and sign off on QA reports, daily inspection reports, testing results, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
Ensure accurate recordkeeping.
Provide weekly and monthly QA summaries for internal leadership and VDOT representatives.
Serve as the primary point of contact for VDOT regarding QA matters.
Conduct and participate in field audits, VDOT reviews, and third-party assessments.
Monitor contractor compliance with safety, environmental, and construction standards.

Qualifications
Education and/or Work Experience Required:
Requires a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma or GED or 10 years with a Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.
Proven experience in project management roles, with a track record of successful project delivery.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to construction management, quality assurance, and safety protocols.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Required:
Ability to maintain required certifications.
Successful completion of the KCI PM Training and Contract Training for current employees or ability to complete within six months (for new hires.)
Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Preferred:
Professional license or certification within the field of expertise preferred.

Duties, Responsibilities & Other
KCI is seeking a motivated student for a Site/Civil Engineering Internship to join our Land Development team for Summer 2026. This position offers hands-on experience working on public and private development projects alongside experienced engineers. Summer interns will work a 40-hour week, with at least 10 weeks of work required during the period from mid-May to the end of August. Interns will be assigned a dedicated supervisor and mentor, are required to attend planned activities, and must submit mid-summer and end-of-summer reports/presentations. Responsibilities include:
Assist with design tasks for commercial, residential, and institutional land development projects
Support site layout, grading, stormwater management, utility design, and erosion/sediment control calculations under the guidance of project engineers
Help prepare construction documents, drawings, and technical specifications using AutoCAD Civil 3D
Provide support with local, state, and federal permitting processes (MDE, SHA, county-level agencies)
Participate in site visits and assist with field observation reports
Collaborate with team members on project organization, schedules, and cost estimate preparation
Gain exposure to real-world engineering practices while contributing to active projects

Parsons is seeking a talented Program Document Controls Manager to join our growing team! In this role you will lead document control and records management for a multi‑billion‑dollar infrastructure capital program.
As part of the Owner's Agent Program and Construction Management Team, you will oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of document control processes that support the successful delivery of this complex, multi‑year program.
In this anticipated role, Parsons will provide Owner Agent Construction Management Services including Program Management, Construction Management, Risk Management, Scheduling, Cost Estimating, Progress Reporting, Construction Quality Assurance, Safety, and other supporting services. The Program Document Controls Manager will be a key member of the leadership team ensuring that all program documentation is accurate, secure, traceable, and readily accessible to all stakeholders.
What You'll Be Doing:
Lead Program-Level Document Controls
Direct and manage all document control and records management activities for the capital program across multiple projects, contracts, and stakeholders (owner, PM/CM, designers, contractors, and third parties).
Establish and maintain standardized document control procedures, workflows, and naming conventions for program-wide use, covering both electronic and physical records.
Owner's-Agent Support for a Multi-Billion Dollar Program
Work closely with the owner, program management, construction management, and other functional leads to ensure document controls supports decision-making, reporting, claims/issue resolution, and regulatory/compliance requirements.
Ensure all contractual, design, construction, and operations handover documentation is properly managed, complete, and auditable throughout the program lifecycle.
PMIS & Collaboration Platform Management
Lead configuration, governance, and day‑to‑day oversight of electronic Program Management Information Systems (PMIS) such as Kahua and/or Procore, including workflows for submittals, RFIs, design reviews, change orders, correspondence, and reports.
Oversee the organization, permissions, and governance of Microsoft SharePoint and other collaboration repositories used by the program.
Coordinate with IT and PMIS vendors to implement enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance and usability.
Team Leadership & Staff Development
Build, lead, and mentor a team of document control professionals (document controllers, records specialists, and coordinators) across the program.
Assign responsibilities, monitor performance, and provide training and coaching to ensure consistent application of standards, high quality, and timely processing of documentation.
Foster a culture of service, accountability, and continuous improvement within the document controls team.
Process, Compliance & Quality Assurance
Develop, implement, and monitor document control procedures aligned with contractual requirements, owner standards, industry best practices, and applicable laws and regulations.
Ensure compliance with records retention policies, information security requirements, and audit standards for all program documentation.
Perform regular audits and quality checks on document metadata, workflows, and storage structures; develop and implement corrective actions as needed.
Interface with Program Controls & Reporting
Collaborate with cost, schedule, risk, and reporting teams to ensure that document control processes support accurate and timely program reporting and analytics.
Support the generation of dashboards, logs, and status reports (e.g., submittal logs, RFI logs, design review status) from PMIS and SharePoint for internal and client reporting.
Stakeholder Training & Change Management
Develop and deliver training to owner staff, contractors, consultants, and internal teams on document control procedures, PMIS usage (Kahua/Procore), and SharePoint best practices.

+ Maintain a complex groundwater collection and treatment system that includes chemical precipitation of solids, moving bed biological reactors, an advanced oxidation process using ultraviolet light and peroxide, and an IX treatment system.
+ Perform assigned treatment plant rounds; inspect, monitor, troubleshoot, test and document plant processes
+ Operate, monitor, repair, and adjust treatment plant machinery and equipment including pumps, valves, motors, meters, tanks, reservoirs, feeders, and other equipment to maintain appropriate plant operations
+ Collect and document samples and perform a variety of routine water quality laboratory tests

Your Key Responsibilities

**Job Description**
**AECOM** has an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Technician II to join our Annapolis Junction Remediation team. You will work on a diverse range of projects delivering remediation system solutions to our key clients.
The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively with members of the project team, clients, site personnel and office management, and work both independently and as part of a project team. In addition, the successful candidate will be committed to the team's success and growth; will rigorously apply safety policies and procedures; and will effectively manage the quality of field efforts within the bounds of the AECOM Quality Management System.
The role requires a strong mechanical and safety aptitude, and the candidate must have experience working with plumbing, electrical, and general construction related trades. Duties include (but will not be limited to) equipment maintenance coordination, remediation system maintenance, and environmental sampling activities. Although this is a field position that involves significant equipment maintenance and construction related activities, there will be direct interaction with clients and the candidate must have experience communicating with clients on a professional level.
This position will involve travel throughout the region on a regular basis.
The job responsibilities for the position will include but are not limited to the following:
+ Performs a variety of tasks in support of project staff.
+ May gather and maintain specified records of scientific data for supervisor, including but not limited to environmental sampling, operations and maintenance and inspections at client sites.
+ Other activities may include assisting with calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining proper project documentation.
+ Effective interaction with internal and external clients
+ Leading and participating in field meetings, possible oversight of subcontractors, contribute to and following safe work practices, developing/following/implementing safety plans on a day-to-day basis, recognizing hazards and documenting safety observations
**Qualifications**
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
+ HS + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
+ Experience operating and maintaining soil and groundwater remediation equipment
+ Ability to work outdoors, often in inclement weather conditions
+ Valid US Driver's License and as a condition of employment must pass the AECOM Motor Vehicle screening
+ As a condition of employment, candidates must pass a drug screening
+ As a condition of employment, candidates must pass a medical screening
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
+ Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with soil and groundwater
+ Understanding of remediation technologies and design
+ Experience with implementation, and operation/maintenance activities
+ Strong knowledge of groundwater, soil, sediment, surface water, and air sampling

What You'll Be Doing:
Advise and support the NDOC staff on OSINT policies, communication and engagements to advance DIA's joint, interagency, intergovernmental, and multinational (JIIM) coordination, strategy, policy, and doctrinal development collaborating with the Intelligence Community (IC), Department of War/Department of Defense (DoD/DoW), Combatant Commands (CCMD), and military service branches.
Perform research, data aggregation and information analysis, prepare documents and presentations, and coordinate project-related activities to enable and enhance DIA and NDOC OSINT policy development and collaboration with IC stakeholders.
Participate and actively engage in focus groups, supporting NDOC in the execution of DoW/DoD OSINT Board of Governors, Defense Open Source Council (DOSC) associated subcommittees, offsite meetings, and other OSINT-related activities as required.
Support and advise on the advancement of key OSINT and information sharing projects to ensure proper coordination and communication in a timely and effective manner across the Defense Intelligence Enterprise (DIE).
Support the Program Manager with communication and engagement initiatives, tracking deliverables, monitoring progress across multiple projects, and ensuring alignment and coordination across cross-functional teams and the DIE.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Duties, Responsibilities & Other
KCI is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Telecommunications Drafting Intern to join our team for Summer 2026. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your skills in a real-world telecommunications environment. You will work closely with our experienced engineers and project managers on a variety of projects, focusing on drafting and design. Summer interns will work a 40-hour week, with at least 10 weeks of work required during the period from mid-May to the end of August. Interns will be assigned a dedicated supervisor and mentor, are required to attend planned activities, and must submit mid-summer and end-of-summer reports/presentations.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize AutoCAD to design small cell and macro sites for various carrier clients.
Assist in the design, analysis, and implementation of telecommunications projects.
Conduct site visits to obtain measurements needed for small cell and macro construction drawings.
Conduct research and gather data to support project development.
Prepare technical drawings, reports, and documentation.
Participate in site visits and inspections to monitor project progress.
Collaborate with team members to develop innovative solutions
Perform calculations and simulations using engineering software.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge in AutoCAD is required.
Relevant work experience in telecommunications is preferred.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Coursework or certification in drafting or engineering technology is preferred but not required.
