Summary:

Essential Work Functions:
Establish, implement, and administer infection prevention program goals, objectives, policies, and procedures

SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Under the supervision of the Program Supervisor I, the Shelter Services Advocate is responsible for promoting an environment that provides participants a sense of empowerment, improves their well-being, and increases their ability to live safely and independently.
The Shelter Services Advocate is primarily responsible for ensuring that participants' basic needs are met, i.e., they have food, clothing and shelter, and that they are safe and supported while in the shelter program. EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the General Manager of Ag Operations at our Kapua Orchards facility in South Kona, Big Island, Hawaii, the Plant Manager oversees and supervises daily processing and plant operations. All of the product grown and processed at this facility are used in our Mauna Loa and Hawaiian Host products, two of Hawaii's largest retail brands sold and distributed across the U.S. and Asia. This role is accountable for human safety excellence, product quality, food safety protocols, production efficiency, high kernel recovery, cost management, maintenance, maintenance reliability, supplier accountability, warehousing, continuous improvement and overall plant performance driving improved yield and throughput. The Plant Manager role is a hands-on job and works closely with front line employees, leads by example, and works closely with cross-functional partners to ensures company targets are achieved. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Oversee all stages of the macadamia nut processing flow: WIS receiving, drying, cracking, optical sorting, pasteurizing, roasting, manual sorting, and sizing.

The removal of LPG tank and cylinders and plugging of gas lines following established procedures and/or processes.
The installation, maintenance, relocation, repair replacement and/or termination of the gas mains and services distribution systems using manual tools of the trade including pick and shovel, and operating various equipment such as jack hammer, pavement breaker, mud gun, pneumatic or gas-powered tampers, drill gun, electric drill, ect. Inspects, checks, test pipe system with air or gas; reads/interprets pressure gauge to determine system is not leaking and is performing according to design.
Performs general maintenance of tanks in the field including: Chipping rust and painting; removing covers; repairing or replace fittings, regulators and meters; servicing valves, ect. Cuts/threads pipe using pipe cutters/threader machine and installs pipe and fittings.
Responds to a variety of trouble calls and performs emergency response function; effectuates emergency repairs and/or shuts-down gas supply when appropriate/necessary. Stands by the site when necessary until properly relieved by appropriate personnel.
Provides customer service and extends at all times a courteous and tactful demeanor when dealing with customers or the public. May advise or instruct consumer in the proper care of the tank, appliances and equipment.
Drives truck and maintains necessary truck supplies and equipment. Operates crane as required.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Under the supervision of the Director of West Hawaii Programs, the Program Supervisor I will plan, organize, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate the services of Domestic Abuse Shelters (DAS) and Domestic Violence Advocacy (DVA) programs and contracts assigned. This role requires 24-hour on call to provide backup DAS support to staff and to perform all program duties when necessary to ensure smooth program operations.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
Four-Year College Degree from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency - general major. Requires basic knowledge or training in a specialized or technical field or trade, such as social work, professional accounting, finance, business administration, and marketing.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Residential Specialist for the Safe House program, is a Full time 40 hours a week non-exempt position. The Residential Specialist performs the essential functions as indicated in this and is supervised by the Program Manager. During their assigned shift and as directed by the Program Manager, the Residential Specialist is responsible for the up-keep of the facility to meet program and licensing standards. The Safe House program at the Kona/Captain Cook location provides services to adolescent male residents. The Program also collaborates with other agencies and resources within its community. Services and activities are developed to support the specific needs of the youths in placement at the Safe House program. The Residential Specialist supports the goals of the Safe House program through the essential functions indicated in this .
MINIMUM & ESSENTIAL QUALFICATIONS:
High school graduate.
At least 3 years experiences working with troubled or at risk youth; or 3 years experiences working with clients within a residential and/or social service setting; or some combination thereof.
Valid Hawaii driver's license.
Valid TB & Pre employment medical clearance.
Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
DHS FBI/Criminal History & CAN cleared
Meets Salvation Army standards as an authorized driver.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associates degree in human services or related field; or two years college level studies in human services field and one year experience working with juveniles, or Bachelor's degree in human services or related field.
Completion of Professional Residential Child Care and Youth Care Certification
Demonstration of other certifications or trainings completed necessary for position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ensure up keep of facility to meet program and licensing standards. Report any unmet conditions to the Program Manager.
In concert with Program Manager, schedule group program activities for after school, weekends, holidays, and vacation.
Must ensure proper supervision and monitoring of all client residents at all times during assigned work shift
Ensure completeness of resident files and program files
Maintain consistency in program miles and procedures.
Monitor resident service contracts to see that resident and family needs are met with all agencies involved with resident during placement in facility.
Ensure all programs and resident needs are met on a continuing basis. Reporting to Program Manager the staff's training needs.
Transport resident to and from school, job, and appointments in absence of Residential Assistants.
Complete required daily reports/consultation on each resident.
Monitor phones, visitors, workers, parents and handle emergencies and crisis calls.
Aid Program Manager with supervision of Residential Assistants and volunteers.
Do intake/discharge interviews. Orientates new residents/check resident's safe arrival after discharge.
Facilitate scheduled house/group meetings/fire drills and documentation thereof
Serve as a crisis counselor while on duty -- on the phone or in person with youth and/or parents.
Model behavior, including communication process, decision making, working out problems, discipline, order, organizational skills, cleanliness, respect for property or others, work and education. Maintain professional worker/resident and staff relationship and boundaries at all times.
Supports the service plan provision of resident clients developed and established by the Program Manager.
Participate in individual, group, family counseling sessions when appropriate, upon request of the resident, primary worker and family.
Maintain all required documentation relating to resident and provide monthly program summary and statistical data to Program Manager
Be involved in public information campaign and assist in representing the agency in the community.
Attend meetings, workshops, retreats, conferences, growth groups, etc., as scheduled or required.
Grocery shopping and menu planning for the Safe House. Supervision of residents in meal preparation.
Must be able to professionally and assertively manage client at risk behavior problems.
Must be able to work on all assigned work shifts rotations including morning to afternoon, afternoon to evening, evening to early morning, and weekends.
Duties are to be performed in the Safe House facility.
