With our powerful network of community-based affiliates, we work with millions of volunteers who take action in their communities to transform public spaces into beautiful places. Through our programs and public-private partnerships, we engage individuals to take greater responsibility for improving their community's environment. We work closely with governors, mayors and other local government and community leaders including state recycling organizations to ensure that we're meeting the needs of local communities. We extend the reach of our initiatives and multiply the impact of our actions as we empower generations of environmental stewards. Through our actions and impact, we help create communities that are socially connected, environmentally healthy and economically sound.
