Work with plant management and blasting vendor to ensure delivery of the correct and necessary amount of blasting agents according to shot design. Foster neighbor and community relations and respond to inquiries from such groups. Utilize Various Tools. Read and understand mine maps in order to guide facility management with mine and pit planning. Use GPS instrumentation to calculate scale distances. Read, analyze, and interpret seismographic results and make any necessary shot design adjustments accordingly. Operate signature analysis computer software. Use instruments such as laser profiler, bore track, and stemalign. Perform Administrative Duties. Perform administrative duties related to the blasting program, such as completing computer generated shot reports, managing pre-charging survey and post-blast surveys, reviewing and analyzing all shots on video, and completing shot layout diagrams.
