At Clark Pacific, the AssistantProjectManager facilitates the successful design, fabrication, and installation of architectural and structural building systems. Working as part of an integrated team, within a specific business unit, this role applies engineering, projectmanagement, problem-solving, and communication skills across all levels and disciplines within the organization. The AssistantProjectManager leads (generally 1 to 3) Project Engineers and works on multiple projects simultaneously.
Competitive Compensation Range: $95,000 - $121,000 annually, depending on experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Exercise a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when working with staff, projects and proprietary information.
Build an efficient, high-level communication flow with all internal and external project partners.
Responsible for project documentation (Plans, Specifications, RFIs, Submittals, Meeting Minutes) coming from design and trade partners, ensuring alignment and consistency.
Assemble trade contracts for ProjectManager/Superintendent review.
Collaborate with ProjectManager and Superintendent on-site safety plan maintenance and implementation (weekly safety meetings, pre-task planning, accident investigation).
Partner with ProjectManagers and Superintendents to maintain and manage field operations (scheduling, testing, inspections, maintaining look ahead schedules, daily reports, quality management).
Lead cost management from identification of changes through estimating and execution of change orders.
Obtain and maintain individual safety and projectmanagement certifications (OSHA 30, LEED, SWPPP).
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
2-5 years of experience as a successful Project Engineer required.
BS in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or an Engineering related degree required.
EIT certification preferred.

Description Burns & McDonnell's South Central region is seeking an AssistantProjectManager to join our Austin, TX, office. The AssistantProjectManager will work within our region's Remediation department and collaborate broadly in support of our Environmental Services practice to perform the following duties:
+ Provide remedial construction site oversight and materials management support, project task management, and other activities, as required.
+ Prepare environmental investigation work plans, reports, feasibility studies, etc.

Qualifications

+ Experience conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and Phase II environmental site investigations, including the collection of soil and groundwater samples, logging soil borings, installing and developing groundwater monitoring wells, data analysis, and authoring reports.
+ Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
+ Experience with and working knowledge of State and Federal Regulations.
+ OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training with annual updates.
+ Self-motivation and the ability to self-manage and multi-task.
+ High proficiency in using Microsoft Office.

Project Scheduling
AssistsProjectManager in defining responsibilities for processing submittals including taking ownership of more difficult trades in cases of limited staff.

Establishes relationships and communication tools as needed with suppliers and other key people to verify all materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and personnel are obtained and/or delivered when necessary.
Ensures project site and company assets are secure, and maintain a safe and respectful working environment at all times by implementing safety, EEO, risk management, training, and quality control programs.
Communicates with all suppliers and subcontractors to be certain they understand performance standards related to predetermined schedules or plans and specifications. If performance problems occur, coordinate with the ProjectManager regarding the appropriate actions to take with the subcontractor.
Project Administration, Operations, Coordination and Close-out
Attend all mandatory planning, progress, and close out meetings with project staff and other key people on project concerns, problems, and unexpected situations that may arise with subcontractors, suppliers, customer changes, etc.
Compare progress to schedule, compare actual versus estimated cost, check compliance with plans and specifications, review any problems, and verify the quality of work being performed meets contract specifications and Balfour Beatty Construction guidelines.
Complete a time impact analysis for each change proposal for submittal to the owner; coordinate with ProjectManager and Scheduling Director.
Manage the project closeout process to settle all financial obligations, demobilize all resources, and transition the project to the customer.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
4 years of experience working on data center projects of various sizes
Experience with projectmanagement software (Procore, P6, etc.)
Experience with cost projection, financial analysis, budget reviews, labor reports
Experience with JD Edwards or similar construction application(s)

Project Engineers assist the ProjectManager and Superintendent with the planning and daily execution of construction projects. The Engineer is the link between management, field activities, accounting, and project administration. They also lead the management of the submittal process and approvals, coordinating the timely delivery of materials, maintaining logs, schedules, budgets, and overall facilitate a well-managedproject. Successful candidates are easygoing, team-players, with strong communication, projectmanagement and client service skills.
Responsibilities:
Assist in bidder selection and scope of work qualification for Client RFP's and new projects.
Assist in subcontractor assignment for projects.
Perform some projectmanagement responsibilities (with PM oversight), such as: write and administer subcontracts/exhibits; draft cost change requests, lead meetings & job walks, Q.C. coordination, etc.
Assist with aspects of the procurement process for assigned projects.
Participate in OAC meetings and prepare timely and accurate meeting minutes.
Estimate change orders and request pricing for potential changes or cost impacting RFI's and Submittals.
Lead the document control process: Distribute plans, specifications, drawings, permits, etc. to appropriate parties and maintain the drawing revisions using PlanGrid and SharePoint applications.
Evaluate, prepare, and distribute appropriate RFI's. Gather, prepare, review, and distribute submittals. Maintain accurate logs/records of the activities associated with these processes.
Perform Quality Control tasks for installed materials or systems.
Assist site Superintendent to resolve unforeseen challenges in the field.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with the project team, the client, owner's representative, design team, subcontractors, and others.
Support the Superintendent in managing and updating the Project Schedule with confirmed lead-times of materials.
Manage the punch-list and close-out process; including warranty, O&M, and as-built documentation collection completed by the Project Coordinator.
Always promote the highest level of professionalism and ethics
Promote safety policies and procedures and assist in those practices as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Prior experience in the construction industry is preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Fundamental knowledge of basic construction materials and methods.
Basic understanding of the technical and business aspects of construction projectmanagement.
Understanding of the building permit approval process.
Ability to learn and master required technology and software applications, including the MS Office 365 Suite, MS Project; as well as BlueBeam, GreenHalo, Autodesk Build, etc.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

Pay Range (Annualized): $60,000 - $90,000 per year.
About the Role
We are a concrete subcontractor seeking a Project Engineer to support our ProjectManagement team based in our Rancho Cordova office. This role helps keep projects organized, documented, and moving-supporting communication, implementing document controls, evaluating change order requests and submittals of shop drawings, reviewing project schedules, etc. This position is ideal for someone looking to build or continue a career in construction management.
What You'll Do
Develop a full understanding of the scope and interdependence of all contract documents.
Handle and submit Daily job reports, RFI's, and submittals.
Manage effective document control mechanisms for the project to ensure that work is performed in accordance with contract documents.
Evaluate change order requests including design changes, specifications and drawing releases and reports status.
Evaluate submittals of shop drawings, material data and samples and take appropriate action based upon contract specifications.
Review the project schedule and assist the projectmanager in the maintenance of it as requested.
Assist the projectmanager in the maintenance of effective cost control mechanisms for the project.
Complete project close out requirements in accordance with contract documents.
Administer quality control program as outlined in the project procedures manual.
Become familiar with safety requirements of the project and monitors compliance.
Utilize safe work practices and follow directives, policies, and procedures for assisting and maintaining a healthy and safe work environment.
Execute additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
1-3 years construction experience.
Ability to use a computer. Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and Bluebeam (or equivalent).
Proficiency with PlanGrid or Procore are a plus.
High School Diploma/GED required; Construction Management degree preferred
Work Environment & Schedule
The position reports on-site to an office located in Rancho Cordova, CA.
The position requires travel to active construction jobsites as needed or required.
Typical office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 5:00.
The working schedule may vary by project needs.
