We are currently recruiting for a Laborer who has Warehouse/Procurement experience to be based at our corporate office which is located in Milton, Washington. At Cannon, you will be responsible for tracking and/or safely transporting construction equipment and materials to various job sites in the greater Puget Sound region. This position requires a Class A CDL with brake endorsement. Local deliveries only. Occasionally you will perform light duty construction work and assist with organizing, cleanliness, stocking and inventory control of shop / warehouse.
Requirements:
Class A CDL License, with air brake endorsement required
Must have a valid Drivers License and clean driving record
2-3 years Heavy Equipment operating experience
Must have the ability to understand and follow specific oral instructions, ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings.
Proficient with excel & word
Have a positive attitude and be highly motivated
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Current DOT Physical card
This is a safety sensitive role
Responsibilities:
Under general supervision operate heavy equipment and perform routine maintenance including cleaning
Track inbound and outbound construction materials
Safely transport material and equipment to construction job sites in CDL truck.
To gain and maintain trust & respect of team by being approachable, empathetic and can mentor others
Work efficiently and effectively with little supervision
Is innovative and highly collaborative
Has initiative and drive and can multitask
To gain knowledge and understanding of the telecommunications field
May also loads dirt from streets into a truck; Digs ditches, trenches, and post holes and loads and transports construction materials, pick up debris on and around the work site.

About this Role
FiberTel is looking for CDL Laborers for our Sacramento, CA location. This is a travel position focused on Sacramento, Vallejo, and Santa Rosa.
In this role you will support all phases of utility construction for various types of telecom projects. Duties will include general labor duties related to telecommunications construction as directed by the Foreman/Supervisor.
Services may include placing poles, anchors and guys, aerial strand and cable, direct buried pipe, trenching cable, conventional and directional boring, placing underground conduit systems, performing inside wiring, cabling, and testing and maintenance services.
Pay: $22-27/hr, DOE
What You'll Do
Responsibilities:
All phases of telecommunication construction include but are not limited to: Loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal and placement of various types, sizes and weight of construction materials and equipment.
Hand dig using shovel, mechanical tools.
Install and maintenance of underground telecommunications cabling.
Operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery.
Working in congested or remote areas.
Maintain visual and audible contact with other crewman and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement.
Perform general construction work under direction of Foreman/Supervisor.
Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies.
Learn all aspects of crew and assist the operator and foreman as assigned.
Setup, preparation, and cleanup of construction sites.

Qualifications:
Class A CDL

This position may occasionally be exposed to natural gas and to the risk of electrical shock. Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels.
Physical Requirements:

POSITION SCOPE
The General Laborer will be responsible for general laborer duties at the operation and perform tasks involving physical labor. This position requires the willingness to travel to the job site locations and to lodge near the job site. Position requires ability to pass a Federal Firearms background check to assist in the handling of explosives and requires the ability to pass a criminal background check to gain access to government worksites. Extensive overnight travel is required.
This position will work under the Arizona Drilling & Blasting Division of Fisher Sand & Gravel, Co.
PRIMARY DUTIES
* Work as a part of a crew focused on safety
* Assist as required in all manual labor aspects of the project as directed by supervisor
* Perform physically demanding construction duties
* Safety, Safety, Safety comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards of safety
* Frequently Carrying items or objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
* Complete work tasks under various adverse weather conditions including heat above 100 degrees, cold, rain, and snow
* Operating equipment in adverse weather conditions and on steep and rough terrains
* Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
* Applicants must be at least 18 years old
* High School Diploma or Equivalent
* Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation to get to and from work is required
