Kelley Kronenberg is seeking an experienced Partner-level Attorney to lead and grow our Construction Litigation practice in Orlando. Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of attorneys and support staff handling complex construction litigation matters.
Oversee all phases of litigation, including strategy, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.
Collaborate with firm leadership to develop and execute growth strategies for the Construction Practice in Orlando and beyond.
Maintain and grow client relationships while pursuing new business opportunities in collaboration with our in-house Business Development and Marketing teams.
Serve as a mentor to junior attorneys and staff, fostering a collaborative and professional work environment.
Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that support firm-wide objectives in talent development, client service, and market presence.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Active member in good standing with the Florida Bar.
Minimum of 7 years of legal experience, specifically in construction litigation, including experience with construction defect claims, contract disputes, lien law, and delay claims.
Proven leadership experience managing legal teams and directing litigation strategy.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
A portable book of business is strongly preferred, or a demonstrated ability to develop new business in partnership with the firm's internal resources.

This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to work under the leadership of a Partner with a successful trial record who is recognized as a top legal mind in his field. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Organizes and analyzes documentary evidence including contracts, records, medical records, reports, depositions, discovery, investigative and other documents and summaries. Interpretation and preparation of chronologies and summaries as requested.
Under attorney direction drafts and prepares correspondence and other written documents as required including responses, reports, filings, pleadings, answers, motions, interrogatories, contracts, opinions, position papers, letters, etc., and other documents as necessary.
Prepares and handles tracking and disposition of subpoenas or other requests for information.
Ensures organization of files including maintenance and management. Communicates with clients, witnesses, experts.
Monitors files and escalates issues requiring attorney involvement. Performs timely handling of highly sensitive issues and materials related to case.
Maintains calendar for trial and discovery deadlines. Obtains trial settings, coordinates and assist in preparation.
Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
4+ years of prior paralegal experience assisting attorneys handling insurance defense litigation matters (medical malpractice and/or nursing home defense experience required)
Florida Registered Paralegal designation a plus
Discovery and trial experience preferred
Florida State and Federal Court filing including E-Filing experience required
Advanced computer skills including MS Word, Power Point, Outlook and Excel required
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint required. Experience assembling PowerPoint presentations for mediation and trial a plus
Ability to work well with a team
Requires critical thinking skills, superior communication and organizational skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
High School Diploma or its equivalent
Physical Demands
This employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. They will also engage in bending, stretching, reaching and other ranges of motion in the course of a working day. They will engage in lifting of supplies and materials up to 25 pounds from time to time. While performing duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to see, talk and hear.
Working Conditions
This job is located primarily in an indoor office environment with varying noise levels. There may be varying degrees of temperature. The employee may be interrupted from time to time.

About the Role
As a Legal Assistant, you will provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support in personal injury and medical malpractice defense cases. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented legal setting
Responsibilities
Maintain trial and discovery calendars, ensuring deadlines are met and documents are timely filed
Schedule and coordinate hearings, depositions, legal proceedings, and meetings
Assist with attorney time entry and invoice processing using billing software
Open, organize, and maintain case files, ensuring documentation is up to date and accessible
Draft and prepare pleadings, correspondence, reports, motions, and discovery documents under attorney direction
Review and summarize medical records, contracts, and case evidence, and assist with preparing chronologies and summaries

Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience as a legal assistant supporting litigators in personal injury and/or medical malpractice defense
Florida State Court e-filing experience required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel); experience with WordPerfect a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize competing demands
High school diploma or equivalent required
Physical Demands
The role is primarily sedentary with regular use of office equipment. Occasional standing, walking, reaching, and lifting of up to 20 pounds may be required.

What You Bring
To excel in this role, you should have:
✔️ Experience:
10+ years of litigation experience, with a focus on general liability, trucking, cargo loss, auto accidents, and premises liability.
