Forklift Operator

We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator for a contract-to-hire position. The role involves working on the first shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with potential overtime on Saturdays. Candidates will perform various tasks in a warehouse environment, including operating a forklift, packaging products, and managing materials.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform general production tasks in a warehouse environment.
+ Package products and stack materials based on customer orders.
+ Load and unload trucks.
+ Stack materials that may weigh over 50 lbs.
+ Follow work orders to package rocks into bags and super sacks.
+ Operate a forklift 30% of the time for loading and unloading trucks.
+ Perform floater/general labor duties 70% of the time.
+ Check products and sign off on bills of lading upon receipt.
+ Drive front loaders or be trained to do so if not experienced.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience driving a forklift or tow motor.
+ Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ Experience in warehouse or shipping operations.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment is preferred.
+ Experience driving heavy equipment such as flatbeds, dry vans, skid steers, front-end loaders is a plus.
