EHS Specialist (Environmental, Health & Safety) - Contract Location: Durham, NC Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm Contract: 1 year Payrate: Up to $45 per hour (DOE) Key Responsibilities + Manage the maintenance and implementation of safety programs, compliance plans, and initiatives. + Participate in incident, near-miss, and property damage investigations, ensuring appropriate follow-up and documentation. + Conduct, coordinate, and track various EHS training programs. + Perform routine safety observations to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and company EHS policies and procedures. + Maintain internal and external regulatory reporting, including air, stormwater, and surface water discharge data. + Serve as primary contact for regulatory agencies regarding inspections, permitting, and reporting (air, water, waste). + Ensure company compliance with OSHA, CAL/OSHA, EPA, AQMD, ADA, fire codes, and all applicable regulations. + Maintain compliance with permits, government regulations and industry best practices. + Stay current on all safety and environmental regulatory changes that may impact the organization.
