Position Highlights: At Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, our Internal Medicine physicians examine adult patients 18 years and older to ensure proper care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery of various medical conditions. They also order medically necessary tests, perform follow-up visits, and place referrals to specialists when needed. There is full access to several sub-specialists, imaging, lab services, patient education and more within the Kelsey-Seybold system. Our Internal medicine physicians also interpret basic medical tests and imaging in planning care for our patients. EPIC electronic health record is used throughout our organization for patient care which is important for collaboration across the system. At Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, you will see patients in office from 8am-5pm Monday through Friday. Internal Medicine physicians are supported by nursing and administrative staff. Depending on your assigned call group, you will take periodic hospital call admitting only Kelsey-Seybold patients. Typically, you are not required to stay overnight in hospitals and certain call groups have nocturnists managing admissions overnight. Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to safety procedures/standards to ensure safety of self, patient, medical personnel and equipment. Participates in all debriefings, transport/code and rapid response events. Responsible for maintaining professional development of self and others. Maintains clinical competence across all aspects of the Transport Services - KC scope of service including ventilator management/nitric implementation/ECMO/Trauma and skills such as IO. Maintains competence in use of systems: Epic/Teletracking/Computer-Aided Dispatch/EMS charts and other systems as indicated. Consistently participates in education sessions and Quality Council. Assists patients, families, and caregivers in the understanding and participation of the plan of care. Acts as a resource to members of the healthcare team to ensure delivery of quality patient care.     Responsibilities Upon the order of a qualified physician, the Radiology Technologist will utilize equipment which produces ionizing radiation to obtain radiographs for diagnostic purposes according to policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Radiology Department and Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. Equipment includes but is not limited to: fluoroscopic and/or digital radiographic and/or routine radiographic rooms used in combination with CR technology for image acquisition. Imaging services vary by location, therefore, rotation through the ambulatory surgery center to provide radiographic support via utilization of a radiographic C-arm or portable unit and the performance fluoroscopic exams may be required depending on assigned site. The Radiology Technologist will utilize the designated Radiology Information System (RIS) to complete clerical processes and the designated Patient Archiving System (PACS).
