Primary Responsibilities:
Join a 30+ radiologist group that is based at our Main Campus location with a possible rotation to an outlying satellite clinic. We are seeking a board-certified radiologist interested in general radiology to include:
Radiography
General fluoroscopy and procedures
Proficiency with interpretation of ultrasound and general body CT preferred

Job duties
The kennel tech is responsible for the care, feeding, medicating, and cleaning of our patients in the hospital and boarding facility. This job involves cleaning, laundry, bathing, feeding, walking dogs, and medicating patients. You are responsible for restocking hospital supplies, helping with post-operative patients, assisting doctors and assistants with animal restraint and exams. You will be responsible for proper recordkeeping of medications, special foods, appetite, behavior and any issue that may arise while the animal is in our care. You may be trained to clean and sterilize surgical instruments.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with:
Knowledge of cleaning and disinfecting methods.
Proper methods of animal restraint.
Ability to use cleaning materials and equipment with skill and efficiency.
Perform moderately heavy physical labor (large dogs, bags of litter, pet foods, etc).
Ability to sympathetically and patiently attend to sick, scared and injured animals.
Ability to learn to administer medications and to recognize abnormal conditions.
Understand and carry out oral and written directions.
Maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of the job.

ACLS - Cert-Adv Cardiac LS ACLS by the American Heart Association (Required within 6 months of hire)
CNPT - Neonatal Pediatric Transport by the National Certification Corporation (Required within 18 months of hire)
CCRN - Critical Care Registered Nurse by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (Required within 18 months of hire)
Required 3 years Critical care experience in a pediatric or neonatal intensive care setting OR 3 years Pediatric Emergency Center experience in a Level 1 trauma center with CPEN certification.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care to critically ill patients including neonates, pediatric and adult patients. Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills, to autonomously evaluate critically ill patients, and to provide therapeutic intervention, emergency interventions and preparation for transport. Assess for and detect changes in the status of the patient and demonstrate a proactive approach. Provides care and treatment with other health care team members for life support and/or stabilization of critically ill patients. Collaborates with other health care team members to problem solve, implement treatment modalities and interventions to maximize patient outcomes. Provides care within the policies, protocols, guidelines and scope of practice as defined by the State of Texas. Performs advanced skills and procedures as indicated. Maintains complete and accurate records.
Demonstrates commitment and dedication to patients and families. Keeps the family informed of a patient's condition and plan of care. Serves as a patient/family advocate while caring for the patient and family. Maintains confidentiality concerning patient/family issues.
Demonstrates commitment to program development and quality initiatives. Communicates effectively and maintains positive interpersonal relationships in working with colleagues, patients, families, outside institutions/agencies and the public. Demonstrates the ability to problem solve and adapt to ongoing change and handle conflict management with a professional supportive attitude. Communicates with medical on-line control regarding patient condition and treatment plan. Represents Texas Children's as a customer service ambassador. Acts as liaison and participates in outreach marketing and education activities. Participates in quality initiative programs, perform data collection and participates in research activities.
Ensure smooth safe program operations. Ensures team shift responsibilities are completed: equipment checks, supply and medication inventory. Plans, organizes and positions equipment and supplies for use in emergency conditions. Completes missions initiated within the timeframe of assigned shift with the understanding that completion of these missions may require additional work beyond normal work hours. Ensures 10 hours of rest time prior to reporting for the scheduled shift. Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to safety procedures/standards to ensure safety of self, patient, medical personnel and equipment. Participates in all debriefings, transport/code and rapid response events.
Responsible for maintaining professional development of self and others. Maintains clinical competence across all aspects of the Transport Services - KC scope of service including ventilator management/nitric implementation/ECMO/Trauma and skills such as IO. Maintains competence in use of systems: Epic/Teletracking/Computer-Aided Dispatch/EMS charts and other systems as indicated. Consistently participates in education sessions and Quality Council. Assists patients, families, and caregivers in the understanding and participation of the plan of care. Acts as a resource to members of the healthcare team to ensure delivery of quality patient care.

Job Description
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Pet restraint, triage incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.
Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.

Qualifications
We're looking for:
An experienced Veterinary Assistant with a minimum of 1-year experience preferred.
Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
Must be able to properly restrain pets.
Proficient in sample collection, obtaining medical histories, processing laboratory tests and radiographs, and anesthesia monitoring are a bonus!
