The position is based in Salt Lake City and will be responsible for purchasing vehicles in various simulcast auction channels and trade networks as well as fleet direct souring across the country. Here's what you'll be doing: Analyze market for trends in vehicle wholesale values and work directly with retail leadership within a defined market area to develop buying plans based on sales pace/stocking levels and needs and through regular engagement with assigned stores Achieve monthly purchasing quotas and gross margin targets by strategically sourcing vehicles from multiple online sources, fleet direct relationships and group trade networks Manage your assigned store's inventory through supply chain life cycle and post-sale process including coordinating payment, freight and logistics and arbitration Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with auction personnel, fleet representatives and internal partners Serve as subject matter expert for market conditions, trends and changes in geographic market Provide guidance and support to store leadership as it relates to purchasing and evaluating used vehicles and pricing inventory strategically to market conditions Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plans more effectively Position is based at corporate headquarters in downtown Salt Lake City with occasional travel required to assigned stores for engagement and planning with store leadership.
