    TITLE: Warehouse Clerk The Warehouse Clerk Position is responsible for assisting in a variety of warehouse duties, including shipping and receiving, unloading and loading trucks, fulfilling purchase orders, and keeping warehouse stocked with essential equipment. Qualified candidates will possess strong organizational, multitasking and problem-solving skills while maintaining a high level of detail and quality control. THE KEY COMPETENCIES FOR THIS ROLE INCLUDE: Results Orientation - the ability to plan and achieve business goals within the timelines established Teamwork - ability to work with others to effectively enhance results or processes Problem Solving - ability to root cause problems and present solutions Interpersonal Skills - the ability to interact with employees, vendors and customers at all levels Communication - ability to identify and deliver critical information to the appropriate parties IT - proficient in the use of Connected Business service-related software DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship) Rotate and work in the various jobs in the warehouse including but not limited to intermountain, will call, returns, and freight Identify and correct clerical errors and or incorrect labeling prior to shipment Inspect for damage, clean and label all outbound shipments Pallet, secure and wrap automotive parts for shipment Load and unload all freight and or product / cores using equipment or manually Locate and identify stock numbers that coincide with shipping B.O.L. Maintain monthly and quarterly cycle counts and inventory; report any discrepancies to management Recognize potential problems and take action to correct them to ensure consistent customer service and satisfaction Assist all walk-in customers in warehouse and vendors picking up or dropping off deliveries Assist delivery driver with loading daily route and/or preparing orders Reports any discrepancies in orders, delivery, damaged product, and report to manager Maintain professionalism and courteous manner with other team members and customers Maintain clean and safe work environment Any other tasks assigned QUALIFICATIONS: All employees must adhere to the below Company Values: Treat People RIGHT To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. POSITION SUMMARY: Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments, and preparing items for shipment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments. * Count, weigh, or measure items on incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records. * Determine method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates. * Affix shipping labels on packed cartons, or stencil identifying shipping information on cartons, using stenciling equipment. * Assemble wooden or cardboard containers, or select preassembled containers. * Insert items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding. * Nail covers on wooden crates and bind containers with metal tape, using strapping machine. * Stamp, stencil, or glue identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers. * Post weights and shipping charges, and affix postage. * Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. * Ensure that outgoing shipments meet specifications. * Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies. * Operate tier-lift truck or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area. * Receive damaged or defective goods returned to establishment and designate "Returned Goods, Receiving Clerk". * Receive unsold products returned by Parts Driver. * Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates. QUALIFICATIONS Must have the ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. One year of experience in a dealership position is required. He/she must have a valid driver's license and have the ability to interpret vendor catalogs. The ability to use parts department computer system, calculator, motor vehicle, and tier-lift and hand trucks is also necessary.
