Position Summary:
A Signal Armed Security Officer will conduct security services for the surveillance and protection against fire, theft, pilferage, malicious injury, and destruction. Armed security officers, equipped with concealed weapons, shall be dressed in a soft uniform for roving patrols and posted at the main lobby entrance of the facility assigned. Armed Security Officers play a vital role by actively observing their surroundings, positively engaging with customers, associates, and responding to emergency situations. All duties listed below are minimum requirements - additional duties listed in the site's Post Orders are requirements as well.
Responsibilities of a Armed Security Officer may include:
Provide reasonable health security and infection prevention controls and screenings, as well as provide escort service to and from staff personnel and State vehicles.
Will conduct and deliver Dedicated services that reflect the company's values, expectations and consistent service in alignment with site expectations/post orders.
Will write detailed and accurate reports utilizing company technology during each shift that align with site instruction/post orders.
Interacting with internal and external personnel on site and promptly report any information that may impact the relationship of the Client to their direct supervisor, the Site Lead Officer or the contract coordinator.
Responsible for the care of any Signal equipment assigned during shift including company phone, access keys/cards and devices, etc.
Manage daily activities while meeting key benchmarks and expectations set by direct Supervisor such as reporting standards, service quality and performance in line with site specific policies and procedures.
Communicate with direct Supervisor to receive and disseminate information through daily huddles, such as the Client needs through post orders to ensure operational excellence and efficiency.

This position is located on the Kenai Peninsula College campus in Soldotna; and, will require travel to Anchorage twice a year, occasional travel to Homer and other areas on the Peninsula. Working Conditions:

**Job Description**
**POSITION PROFILE**
This position is primarily responsible for driving diesel-powered trucks to transport freight from Anchorage to Kenai.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES**
+ Operate safely and in compliance with all established HSE policies and procedures
+ Inspect truck and trailer(s) for defects through pre-trip and post-trip inspections and submit reports indicating their condition
+ Operate a variety of trucks and equipment
+ Maintain driver and maintenance logs (electronic and manual) according to State and Federal regulations as well as Carlile policies and procedures.
+ Spot trailers to warehouse, chock wheels, and assist in loading and unloading trailers
+ Maintain telephone radio, or PeopleNet contact with terminal dispatcher to receive instructions and report safety hazards and/or incidents involving the driver or any company equipment
+ May be required to perform emergency roadside repairs
+ Ensure that cargo is secured for transport according to the FMCSRs
+ Communicate with dispatch to receive instructions and maintain a clean work environment including swept trailer, clean cab, windows, and mirrors
+ Determine discrepancies in paperwork and verify proper placarding when hauling HAZMAT
+ Other duties as assigned
**QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)**
+ High school diploma or GED - Class A CDL with all endorsements, including HAZMAT
+ Two years of verifiable, safe, over-the-road (OTR), Line driving, or Local driving experience preferred (may differ upon location).
+ Must have a current USA passport, or enhanced driver's license, and a clean record to enter Canada under Canadian law.
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES**
+ Position requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and meet regulatory deadlines.
+ Impeccable character, integrity, and unfailing initiative in a team environment
+ Must be experienced to operate in snow and ice road conditions and be able to chain-up.
+ Ability to work various shifts and days of the week
+ Record of safe and competent driving as demonstrated on driver's abstract and driving files.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Must have a basic mechanical background and aptitude coupled with the knowledge of how a diesel truck operates
+ Must have the ability to work with mathematical concepts
+ Must be able to prioritize daily task and assignments

**WORKING ENVIRONMENT**
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions (extreme cold and inclement conditions - snow, ice, rain, wind, etc.). The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vehicle vibration. May also be exposed to long periods of isolation time while driving or resting. May also be exposed to heavy traffic conditions while driving.
