International Motors is hiring Industrial Maintenance Mechanics for our Springfield Assembly Plant. In this role, you will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment, including robotic welders, conveyors, and transfer systems, to keep production running safely and efficiently. This is a represented skilled-trades position with excellent benefits, including medical, dental, and a generous 401(k).*Sign-On Bonus: We are offering a $1,000 sign-on bonus (less applicable taxes) for newly hired skilled trades positions*
This position will pay $36.42 / hour with a 6% shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift. Must be available for 2nd and/or 3rd shift.
Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance and Repair
* Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery and equipment
* Remove and replace worn or defective parts; rebuild spindles, cylinders, valves, pumps, and gearboxes
* Start up and test equipment after repair to verify safe, effective operation
Diagnostics and Technical Support
* Use precision measuring instruments to verify tolerances and alignment
* Read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic schematics to diagnose issues
* Inspect and measure parts to identify wear, misalignment, and other defects
Fabrication and Shop Work
* Operate machine-shop equipment to fabricate and repair components
* Perform basic machining and welding work as needed
Safety, Compliance, and Documentation
* Follow plant safety procedures and lockout/tagout requirements
* Document all maintenance and repair activities for reporting and traceability
* Support a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Minimum Requirements
* High School Diploma or GED
* Journeyman Machine Repairman or minimum 8 years in trade
Additional Requirements
* Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
* Must be able to work at heights, climb ladders and use aerial lift equipment
* Must be able to work outdoors during cold and inclement weather

The Maintenance Technician performs preventive maintenance and makes repairs on equipment in the plant to ensure uninterrupted production. Keeps assigned areas equipped with parts in an orderly condition.
What you will be doing:
Repairing assembly equipment.
Completing preventative maintenance.
Responding to work requests regarding repairs around the facility.
Creates special tools to assist with production.
Rebuilds machines, tools and heavy equipment.
Troubleshoots equipment to determine repairs needed.
Education and Experience Needed:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
1-3 years of maintenance experience preferred.
Basic electrical knowledge preferred.
Basic fluid power experience (pneumatic and hydraulic) is a plus.
Proficient using hand and power tools.
Basic welding experience preferred.
Basic computer and math skills.

Job Description:
Technician personnel maintain, repair and troubleshoot presses, cranes, scrap conveyors and perform electrical and mechanical repairs for Pressroom, Assembly, Paint & Pack and E-Coat departments. Technicians report to the Supervisor of Maintenance.
This position requires flexibility to support all operational shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
Responsibilities:
Support and follow the Company Safety Programs.
Removing, repairing and adjusting press clutches and brakes.
Repairing gears and mechanical devices.
Wiring presses, cranes, scrap conveyors, etc.
Maintaining and repairing auxiliary press devices and assembly equipment.
Designing and programming machine controllers.
Maintaining and repairing Paint & Pack equipment.
Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical devices.
Welding and fabricating various components.
Operating a forklift.
Operating mills and lathes.
Performing daily preventive maintenance.
Perform all other work as deemed necessary by supervision.
We are hiring for 1st:
1st Shift: Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30 pm
Preferred Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, reading schematics and wiring diagrams and knowledge of electrical codes.
Successful score on Mechanical and Electrical assessment
Ability to lift 85 pounds.
Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands, arms and body.
Ability to work at heights of 20+ feet.
Forklift operator's license.
