Job Title: Phlebotomist Location: Miami FL 33155 Pay Range: $20.27-$22.63 per hour Schedule: Mon - Fri 6:00 AM- 3:00 PM, Rotational Saturday 6:30 AM - 10:30 AM.(40 hrs./week) Duration: 6 Months+ *The salary is determined by an individual's level of experience, as well as any relevant licenses and certifications they may hold.* Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities: Perform accurate, safe, and skillful blood collections including venipunctures and capillary draws. Collect and prepare specimens for laboratory testing in both clinical and forensic settings. Handle pediatric, geriatric, and special patient populations with care and professionalism. Accurately verify and label specimens while ensuring compliance with patient identification protocols. Maintain updated patient demographics and obtain signatures post-collection. Demonstrate leadership behaviors and promote a positive image of the organization. Adhere to safety and compliance standards, including confidentiality and data integrity. Maintain clean and stocked work areas and ensure equipment is properly sanitized. Provide excellent service and build trust with patients and healthcare providers. Travel as needed to other Patient Service Centers or In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP) locations with short notice. Attend all required training sessions and maintain updated credentials. Qualifications: A High School Diploma or GED is required. Minimum 3 years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections.     Student success coach and mentor (entry level, paid, full-time) City Year AmeriCorps Member City Year, an AmeriCorps program, helps students across schools succeed. Teams of City Year AmeriCorps members provide support to students, classrooms and the whole school, helping to ensure that students in schools receive a high-quality education that prepares them with the skills and mindset to thrive and contribute to their community. What You'll Do As a City Year AmeriCorps member, your service will focus on coaching and mentoring elementary, middle and/or high school students. You will help these students earn academic success, improve their attendance, and develop positive behaviors at school. You will plan and monitor individual student progress and work with teachers on whole class instruction, breakout spaces and other in-class student assistance. Role and Responsibilities Experience in all these tasks is not necessary. We provide 2-4 weeks of training at the beginning of the year to support you.
