Summary:
The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) works under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to help implement treatment plans that improve patients' mobility, reduce pain, and enhance functional independence. PTAs provide hands-on assistance with therapeutic exercises, modalities, and activities of daily living across various clinical settings. They document patient progress, educate patients on home exercise programs, and collaborate with the healthcare team to support optimal recovery and overall quality of life.
Essential Work Functions:
Set up therapy equipment and treatment areas, ensuring all devices and supplies are calibrated, clean, and ready for patient sessions
Guide patients through prescribed exercises and activities to improve mobility, strength, and balance, while providing hands-on assistance with movements and transfers as needed
Observe patient performance during therapy sessions, note changes in functional abilities, and report progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist
Accurately record patient treatment details, progress, and any adjustments made during therapy sessions in the medical record
Instruct patients and their caregivers on home exercise programs, proper use of assistive devices, and techniques for safe mobility and injury prevention
Work in conjunction with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate a comprehensive approach to patient care
Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards while addressing patients' comfort needs during therapy sessions
Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to remain current with best practices in physical therapy
Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions and continued patient progress in community or home-based settings
Performs other duties as assigned within scope of practice

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide training sessions on public health topics to Tribal program staff and other agencies, ensuring participants gain essential skills for effective program implementation.
Offer technical assistance and consultation to enhance public health practices, helping organizations adopt effective strategies to address community health concerns.
Assist tribal partners with budgeting and creating detailed proposals for funding opportunities to support public health initiatives.
Generate comprehensive reports on public health activities and outcomes, providing stakeholders with insights and recommendations for future initiatives.
Participate on committees to foster collaboration among organizations, promoting a coordinated approach to public health challenges.
Address and resolve complaints related to public health programs promptly, ensuring community concerns are acknowledged and acted upon.
Deliver training on epidemiology and disease prevention strategies to equip staff with the knowledge to tackle public health threats.
Collaborate closely with health department staff across various levels to enhance communication and align efforts.
Engage with the Indian Health Service, State Health Departments, and other agencies to support effective public health programming.

Requirements:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

At least 3-5 years of experience in public health program management, including training and consultation, preferably with Tribal communities or similar settings.
Experience in grant writing, budget development, and program evaluation with proficiency in data analysis to assess and report on public health initiatives is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to travel to various locations for meetings, training sessions, and community outreach activities.
Ability to sit for extended periods during meetings, training, and office work.
Capability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds of materials and equipment for training or events.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during community engagement and site visits.
Occasional need to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions for community-based activities.

Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul aircraft reversers, assemblies, disassemble aircraft components such as Actuators, Drive Cables, Feedback System in accordance with the requirements of the OEM CMM. Teardown and document all discrepancies found on the customers components. Remove exterior coatings ensuring that no parent metal damage occurs. Be able to read CMM for components repair and assembly.
Inspect completed work to certify that maintenance meets standards, and that aircraft are ready for operation. Maintain repair logs, documenting all preventive and corrective aircraft maintenance. Conduct routine and special inspections as required by regulations. Inspect airframes for wear or other defects. Maintain, repair, and rebuild aircraft structures, functional components, and parts such as rigging, hydraulic units, oxygen systems, electrical systems, gaskets, and seals. Measure the tension of control cables. Replace or repair worn, defective, or damaged components, using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment. Measure parts for wear, using precision instruments. Assemble and install mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components and accessories, using hand tools and power tools. Test operation of components and other systems, using test equipment such as compression checkers, distributor timers, and ammeters. Reassemble following repair or inspection, and re-install components in aircraft. Modify aircraft structures, systems, or components, following drawings, charts, engineering orders, and technical publications. Install and align repaired or replacement parts for subsequent riveting using clamps and wrenches. Locate and mark dimensions and reference lines on defective or replacement parts, using templates, scribes, compasses, and steel rules.
Qualifications
Pre-Qualifications:
Education: General: high school, GED, understand, read and write English
Experience: 3-5 years of experience as an aerostructure mechanic, aerostructure inspector or evaluator, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills: Demonstrate competency in applying the following in performing normal job duties. Use of close tolerance measuring tools such as scales, micrometers, calipers, and depth gauges. Read, comprehend and interpret blueprints, technical manuals and other technical documentation issued by the FAA, the Company and original equipment manufacturers.
