Gibbon Packing, LLC., an American Foods Group Company has opportunities for General Production - Rendering at our Gibbon, NE plant. As General Production - Rendering you will: Assist in maintenance of daily logs; reports unsafe conditions; records plant operating data as required. Complete inspection of equipment to determine if sanitation is adequate to begin rendering process. Assemble rendering equipment including expellers, grinders, pumps, pipes, blades, cooking tanks. Test equipment to determine proper functioning. Open valves and start pumps and conveyors to move materials through rendering process. Monitor temperature gauges and rate of flow and condition of materials passing through cookers, expellers, and grinders; adjust valves and rate of flow. Dump guts, bones, tissue, and other inedible parts into a chute leading to storage containers for cooking tanks for inedible processing. Label storage containers as "Not for Consumption". Notify leadership if equipment malfunctions. NOTE: this description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
